Robert Deeble Biography
Robert Deeble's music has been described as "Wistful folk-pop, sparsely arranged, gracefully performed, and achingly beautiful to behold." His spirit-infused lyrics are paired with a subtle, minimalist style that echoes old folk heroes like Leonard Cohen and Nick Drake. ~ Stacia Proefrock
Currently based in Seattle, he has released 6 albums on a variety of smaller labels and a litany of singles and eps. Musical Collaborations on his recordings have included such guests as: Rachel Blumberg (The Decemberists), Adam Sezler (M. Ward), Jen Wood (Postal Service), Tomo Nakayama and Shenandoah Davis. Notable to Robert's early recordings was the partnership of folk heroine Victoria Williams and drummer Stephen Hodges (Tom Waits) who backed and produced his first two records.
Deeble has performed with the likes of: Low, Ida, Songs:Ohia, The Kingsbury Manx, Pedro The Lion, Shannon Wright, The Vigilantes of Love, The Long Winters, Victoria Williams, Over The Rhine and Sam Phillips.
