Stoked to welcome Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews & Orleans Avenue to The Ramkat on May 22, 2024! Doors at 7 PM, show at 8 PM. Tickets go on sale at 10 AM Eastern this Friday, February 16, at TheRamkat.com! Born Troy Andrews, Trombone Shorty made his first appearance at Jazz Fest in New Orleans performing with Bo Diddley at the age of 4. At 6, he was leading his own brass band. In his teenage years, Shorty was hired by Lenny Kravitz to join the band he had assembled for his Electric Church World Tour. Shorty is a natural-born showman who can command an audience with the best of them. Since 2010, he’s released four chart-topping studio albums and toured with everyone from Jeff Beck to the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

This is my first time seeing Shorty, but it will not be the last. Tremendous show across the board. I was a fan of Tank and the Bangas before this, but they are even better live.
The venue was as great as the show warm summer night on the Detroit river, with music, awesome.
