An evening with Sorrel Nation and Jenny Colquitt Kent born songstress Sorrel Nation brings you a soulful mix of folk rock, with powerful vocals and haunting melodies. She engages audiences with emotive lyrics, 70?s inspired style and is known for impressive covers of Gillian Welch, Fleetwood Mac & Portishead. Sorrel has performed at well-known music venues across London and the South East, supporting folk legends such as Dave Swarbrick, Martin Carthy, Madison Violet, Gemma Hayes and rock legend Tom Hingley. She has recently performed at Glastonbury Festival, Black Deer Festival and tours the festival circuit over summer with The Magic Teapot music venue. Sorrel is set to release new music in 2024, a live EP in July 2024 and a studio album in October 2024 with plans for a solo tour in April and a trio/band tour in October with many festival appearances too. and yes? Winner of the 2021/2022 FATEA 'Female artist of the Year' award and the 2020/2021 GSMC Award for best female solo singer/songwriter, Jenny's music is described as fit for film and storytelling at its finest. A voice that uniquely combines the melodic undertones of artists such as Eva Cassidy and the rawness of Alanis Morissette. She writes with soul, lyrical vulnerability and style to accompany her musicality both through keys and guitar. Jenny's debut album 'Something Beautiful' was released in November 2021. Sorrel Nation Biography

Kent born songstress Sorrel Nation brings a soulful mix of folk/country/rock with powerful vocals and haunting melodies. She engages audiences with her heartfelt, emotive and relatable songwriting and is known for her earthy 1970's inspired style.

Born to sing into a household of eclectic musical influences, Sorrel was first onstage at the age of 10 with a Beatles tribute band in France, at 13 lead singer in a folk/rock band and has now opened for the likes of folk legends Martin Simpson, Martin Carthy and Dave Swarbrick, as well as John Otway, Tom Hingley, Canadian Vocal Group of the Year Madison Violet, folk-punksters 3 Daft Monkeys, Irish singer Gemma Hayes and the incomparable Jackie Leven.



Sorrel has performed at well known music venues in London and across the UK including The Troubadour, The Bedford, 100 Club and The Little Rabbit Barn. She has recently performed at Glastonbury Festival, Black Deer Festival and and tours the festival circuit over summer with The Magic Teapot music venue.



Sorrel was also featured on the soundtracked exclusive trailer for the DVD release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, singing a haunting version of Winter Wonderland.



Sorrel's first EP (First Sight) was produced and recorded with friend and producer Nigel Lowis (Dina Carroll, Eternal, collaborations with Carole King and Burt Bacharach).

Her second EP (Kids On The Run) was produced by acclaimed British producer Ian Barter (Amy Winehouse, Gabrielle, Paloma Faith).

The latest EP (Walk With Me) was recorded at Doz Recording Studio, produced by Al Drake Brockman and features Sorrel with her full band.

Sorrel plans to release a LIVE solo EP in July 2024, recorded at her hometown venue The Grey Lady in 2023, and her debut album in Autumn 2024.



Writing songs of her time, Sorrel's beguiling voice is very much her own but with influences ranging from Stevie Nicks, Gillian Welch, Bonnie Raitt & Susan Tedeschi.
