FRÉ is not just a singer, guitarist, and songwriter; she's an activist advocating for a liveable, more equitable future. Her upcoming EP, "Atmosfeer," drops on May 31st (which also happens to be her birthday). On Thursday May 30th, FRÉ showcases her new music and curates an evening in celebration of music, activism, and radical authenticity, including guest appearances by fellow artist-activists friends Mounir Samuel and Benjamin Fro. FRÉ has toured internationally and performed at radio stations such as BBC Radio and NPO Radio 1, presenting her captivating take on electronic pop music. Since the beginning of her musical career, she's tried to minimise the ecological footprint of her artistic endeavours. In 2021, she, along with a group of artists, industry professionals and environmental scientists, co-founded the Dutch branch of Music Declares Emergency, an international organisation calling for immediate climate action. MDE was founded in 2019 in the UK and grew into an international movement, with supporters including artists like Billie Eilish, Bon Iver and Radiohead. In August 2022, Frederike completed her master's degree at the pop department of the Conservatory of Amsterdam presenting “A Four Step Guide to Reducing Your Environmental Impact As An Artist in Today’s Music Industry” as her master thesis. She’s organised panels, workshops and masterclasses at renowned industry events such as ADE Green, ESNS, Pakhuis de Zwijger, No Man's Land and at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague.
