About this concert
When the lights go down and the world turns off, the truth comes into focus. Such moments of quiet introspection inform, impact, and inspire Nashville songstress Angel Snow. As life spins at light speed without pause, Snow provides understated ambient pop folk bliss that echoes with pure and powerful emotion. Her Nettwerk Records debut Magnetic (2017) marked a significant shift in Snow's catalog that American Songwriter heralded as "remarkable," and aptly compared to Emmylou Harris's Wrecking Ball. Snow is currently gearing up for an extensive UK tour in support of her latest three records Arrows (2019), which is a continuation of the ethereal introspection found on Magnetic, albeit more organic in tone; Low (2021), a riveting, beat and bass heavy, collection of honest and self evaluating songwriting, produced by LA native, Jonathan Stein and Yesterday Is Here (2023), some of Angel?s beloved covers written by Tom Waits, Produced by Jars of Clay musician, Charlie Lowell. The tour is slated to kick-off in June 2024. "Over the last few years, during the pandemic and beyond, I was able to get outside of myself and see the range of the composition in these new recordings. It opened me up a little bit more to embrace the songs for what they are, and not be self conscious about them. The emotions really showed through and shined. The feeling behind everything gets to the forefront. It?s a great way for the lyrics and stories to resonate.? Her performance today is by far the best she?s sounded.. and she wants others to know they?re not alone in this relentless and foreboding war of our minds. I?m hoping to get through and help with the process. Angel beckons you turn off the lights, close your eyes, and drift off to this music. ?I think we should all just sit in the dark with one another and see each other for who we really are. Don?t deny who you are now or who you?ve been in the past. Be in the moment more. A lot of my music is about this. I?m just trying be the best person I know how to be, embrace any and all flaws, and create to the best of my ability. I want to be in the moment. I want to use all of the gifts that I?ve been given and take advantage of them while I?m here.?

Angel Snow Biography

As the years ebb and flow, we eventually return to our roots ready to embrace who we were all along. While working on her second full-length album and first for NETTWERK, Magnetic, atmospheric pop chanteuse and songwriter Angel Snow experienced something of a revelatory awakening. As a little girl in Nashville, TN, the songstress’s older brother
introduced her to the electronic sonic palette of Brian Eno, Aphex Twin, and Trent Reznor, and she found herself painting with a familiar brush…

Building a repertoire as an in-demand songwriter and acclaimed independent artist, Angel’s road twisted and turned to get to this point. She wrote three songs on GRAMMY® Awardwinning singer Alison Krauss’s 2011 offering, Paper Airplane, as Nashville’s Music Row crowned her, “Nashville’s next stealth pop weapon.” Her 2012 self-titled debut spawned “These Days,” which notched 6 million-plus Spotify streams and earned acclaim from American Songwriter.

Enter producer Lee Groves [Goldfrapp, Depeche Mode]. In December 2014, Angel began making regular trips to New York in order to cut what would become Magnetic. Her hypnotic delivery and cinematic lyrics entwined with Lee’s immersive and airy production, conjuring a spellbinding style.

During 2016, she teased out the album’s release with the powerful plea of “I Need You” and irresistible “Secret.” Online influencer Ingrid Nilsen utilized the latter to soundtrack her “Something I Want You To Know (Coming Out)” YouTube video, which amassed over 16.2 million views.

For years, she hesitated to use some of the sounds that most deeply moved her out of fear. Becoming willing to be completely vulnerable and lean into the sonic textures that made her feel most alive, she found the freedom to create art that she was instinctually drawn to. Out of that, the name Magnetic, and her soon to be released third album, emerged.
