About this concert
A second show has been announced, tickets on sale here: https://moshtix.com.au/v2/event/the-beaches-the-blame-my-ex-tour/161625How could you not be obsessed? Frontier Touring is pleased to announce the award-winning Canadian band are headed to Australia in May, performing three East Coast headline shows: The Lansdowne, Sydney; The Zoo, Brisbane and Melbourne’s Howler.Having opened for the likes of The Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, Passion Pit and more, today’s tour news comes off the back of the band’s addition to the line-up of Groovin’ The Moo festival. After more than a decade together as a band, sisters Jordan Miller (lead vocals, bass) and Kylie Miller (guitar), plus closest friends Leandra Earl (guitar and keys) and Eliza Enman-McDaniel (drums), are entering a bold new era… as witnessed on their acclaimed release, Blame My Ex. Channelling heartbreak into self-discovery through 10 exuberant songs that revel in pain and redemption, on their latest album the Toronto band earned more than 30 million streams on Spotify and more than 10 million views on TikTok with their winsome lead single ‘Blame Brett’. The acerbic pop-rock knockout track was immediately championed by media worldwide upon release, a viral hit which saw them win over avowed fans such as Sir Elton John, and other celebs like the Jonas Brothers (who invited The Beaches onstage to perform it at one of their concerts in November), and Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus, who can be seen singing along to the track on TikTok. Doing everything their way, the breakout song helped see the band sell out iconic venues including Toronto’s Massey Hall, Brooklyn’s Williamsburg Music Hall, Los Angeles’s Troubadour and more on the first leg of their Blame My Ex tour in October-December 2023, when they hit the road across the UK, USA and Canada. They even teamed up with Aussie pal G-Flip for US shows in December. With their first of two Juno Award wins taking place back in 2018 – when they won Breakthrough Group of the Year, courtesy of their debut Late Show (produced by Metric’s Emily Haines) – 2024 is set to be a huge year for the girls, who have pencilled in sets at Bonnaroo, Hangout, Rock Werchter, and Bottlerocket festivals to name just a few. Don’t miss The Beaches when they hit the stage this May. Amazing show! My 13 year old daughter and I both had such an amazing time!! Nonstop energy from the whole band with back to back hits from start to finish! We look forward to the next time they come back to Victoria! I imagine it will be in a much bigger venue, this band is going to "blow up"!

the Beaches Biography

The Beaches are doing everything their way. After more than a decade together as a band, sisters Jordan Miller (lead vocals, bass) and Kylie Miller (guitar) plus closest friends Leandra Earl (guitar and keys) and Eliza Enman-McDaniel (drums) are entering a new era. On new album Blame My Ex, the 2x Juno Award-winning Toronto band channels heartbreak into self-discovery through 10 exuberant songs that revel in pain and redemption. Lead single “Blame Brett,” an acerbic pop-rock knockout Jordan calls “a song for all the hot messes out there,” has racked up more than 15 million streams on Spotify and more than 10 million views on TikTok. The track peaked at #2 on Spotify’s US Viral chart, which was just the latest accomplishment for the group. They’ve had 8 #1 Singles on Canadian Alternative Radio, including “Blame Brett.”

They sold out their upcoming Blame My Ex tour, including Toronto’s Massey Hall x2 and Vancouver’s Orpheum. Their single “T Shirt” is certified Gold in Canada, and they’ve garnered a number of hat-tips and cosigns from their peers. They’ve opened for Avril Lavigne, The Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, Alanis Morissette, The Aces, Passion Pit, and Eagles of Death Metal. Elton John is an avowed fan. And now, finally The Beaches are now free to make music that feels true to themselves. Their unyielding bond and shared journey make The Beaches a musical force to be reckoned with and a testament to the power of sisterhood and friendship. How could you not be obsessed?
