Grand Piano

Grand Piano formed in the fall of 2011, but its core members have been writing and playing music together for over a decade. That creative history and long standing friendship is transparent on stage and fosters a strong, collaborative songwriting process that has quickly lead to a catalog of over fifty original songs. They have self-released three EP's; Bug EP (October 2013), America's America (January 2013), and $1000 (April 2012). If you ask them what kind of music they play, they’ll tell you “rock n’ roll” for the sake of brevity. Give a listen and you’ll hear that their style of rock navigates smoothly through blues, folk, jazz, and honky-tonk influences with the help of a horn section and occasional pedal steel. If you get complacent, they will be quick to remind you of the punk tapes in their closet.  Their debut full-length, Leap Year, will be released by Wild Kindness Records on June 17th.
