About this concert
In celebration of the release of Concrete Gold’s debut album ‘Burning Out’, Crushing Promotions is presenting a night of live music at Tomcat in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, with some of the finest upcoming artists that Australia has to offer!Formed in Byron Bay Australia, Concrete Gold has kept things loud in the music scene from Byron to Brisbane where the members now live, with their sound that can only be described as a lovechild of 90s alternative rock and modern Australian indie. Influenced by the likes of ‘Violent Soho’ ‘The Strokes’, and ‘Foo Fighters’, their performances consist of hard-hitting drums, walls of guitar, unrelenting bass, and catchy hooks and screams. Concrete Gold has dove headfirst into the Australian music scene, having played ‘Byron Music Fest’ and supported Australian rock legends ‘Wolfmother’ and ‘You Am I’. Concrete Gold is here to supply a dosage of high volume levels, riffs, and energy.Burning Out’s release marks a significant point in Concrete Gold’s history, being the culmination of years of songwriting efforts - bringing a whole new roster of some of their most praised work yet - that span from upbeat headbangers to mellow ballads. Concrete Gold are aiming to give this release the impact it deserves with a night full of partying and noise.Main support will be Sunny Coast legends Chamber Lane - ChAMBER LANe are a 4 piece Indie Punk outfit from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Known for catchy tunes, energetic live performances, and a dash of Britpop influence. Following the succes of their recent single ‘LIANA’, the band has started to see their hard work pay off with rooms full of people singing along across the East Coast of Australia. These self proclaimed misfits are fun, with a mischievous attitude and nostalgic sound. Their songs are highly praised for crafting clever hooks, and generating a mainstream sound, while still harbouring rebellious punk rock larrikinisms. 4 boys with an infectious ‘go for it’ attitude, a nostalgic sound and plenty of on-stage anitcs, ChAMBER LANe are shaping up to be an unstoppable force.Travelling all the way from Sydney NSW we have Liquid Zoo - The Sydney based four piece (Vanda, Oscar, Sam &Angus) come together to capture nostalgic elementsof indie rock n’ roll with a classic rock blend.Influenced by artists such as The Rolling Stones, Jet &T.Rex, the band will take you back to a sweaty rockclub vibe in the 1960’s with their electric live show. After topping the Triple J unearthed charts number 1spot for just under 2 weeks, Liquid Zoo are alreadyboasting a nice quarter of a million streams acrossDSP’s.The band have been tearing it up at local venues, house parties & even selling out a large industriallocal warehouses (given they were underage at thetime and couldn’t gig in venues). Sharing stages withthe likes of King Stingray, The Lazy Eyes, AdamNewling & Pacific Avenue as well as selling out theirown headline club shows across NSW. Liquid Zoowere also chosen as second place in The Terry’s LiveBattle Of The Bands Competition out of 300+entrants.Off the back of their huge support slot for Louis Tomlinson, we have Brissy locals, Safety Hazard - When an inanimate traffic cone tasked two guys with forging the most hazardous rock band of all time Safety Hazard was created. With their banter-filled sets, hard-hitting grooves, and riffs full of fuzz they broke onto the Meanjin music scene in 2022. Featuring Tom Gillard (bass, vocals), Jacc McLeod (drums, vocals), and inanimate traffic cone Sloane The Cone, these three create a unique, humorous and bass-thumping experience that’ll blow the roof off.

Safety Hazard Biography

Safety Hazard is a Meanjin (Brisbane) based hard rock band with a fresh unique sound. Featuring bassist Tom Gillard, drummer Jacc McLeod and inanimate band member, Sloane The Cone, these three create a unique, humorous and bass-thumping experience that’ll blow the roof off. Breaking onto the scene back in 2022 to an explosive first show resulting in a wild mosh pit, the band’s focus has always been on hard-hitting riffs and entertaining sets that have the whole audience leaving with a night they won’t forget. Thanks to their charismatic and catchy performances they recently caught the attention of ex-One Direction member Louis Tomlinson and were invited to open for his show at River Stage. After an explosive performance on the big stage “delivering boundless energy” (Scenestr) the band captured the intrigue and attention of thousands of fans with their latest single ‘’. Breaking over 1k streams in the first two days of release, the trio plans to continue promoting their new single whilst preparing for their next release and gigs in late March opening for Concrete Gold.
