About this concert
The Rabbitts w/Murmurations & Ella Clayton Live at The Norwich Puppet Theatre Norwich based genre blending folk band 'The Rabbitts’ are acoustic at heart but experimental in nature; they set out to avoid the well trodden path and instead define their own unique sound with creative harmonies, fingerstyle guitar arrangements, dreamy mandolin lines, and an intricate yet impactful rhythm section. "Ethereal and understated" - Tom Robinson BBC Radio 6 Music “10/10”- Outline Magazine “The Rabbitts approach folk and indie...drawing from other genres with ease” - Analogue Trash Murmurations are a folk inspired musical flock, from Norwich, UK. Formed of four female musicians, the group combines Irish Bouzouki, mandolin, cello, flute and harmonium to create what has been referred to as ‘music for the moors’. With intimate storytelling, sweet harmonies and powerful instrumentation, Murmurations come together to share something bigger than the sum of their parts. Ella Clayton is a singer and songwriter from North London, who’s storytelling and breathtaking voice cast powerful spells over each audience she encounters. Influenced from a formative age by the passion and integrity of artists such as Jeff Buckley and Joan Armatrading, and later the alt-folk sounds of Bon Iver and Adrianne Lenker, the young musician taught herself guitar and began crafting her own world of music aged 13. Ella released her debut album, “Murmurations” in 2022, followed by an acoustic EP of live one-takes recorded on a stairwell, aptly titled, “Stairwell” in 2023. Since then, she's caught the attention of George Ezra who invited her to perform on his stage at Latitude Festival 2023, sold-out 3 London headline shows, and has performed around the UK and Paris.

The Rabbitts Biography

Norwich based indie folk band 'The Rabbitts’ are acoustic at heart but experimental in nature; they set out to avoid the well trodden path and instead define their own unique sound with creative harmonies, fingerstyle guitar arrangements, dreamy mandolin lines, and an intricate yet impactful rhythm section.

On the 5th of May 2023 they released their 2nd full length album, ‘Love’. The primary inspiration is given away in the album title, however they also sought inspiration from their relationships with the natural world and society, whilst simultaneously embracing the sometimes abstract nature of their creativity. Their music has been featured on BBC Radio 6 Music, and was also included on the best of 2021, BBC Radio Cambridgeshire Folk Show. To date their Spotify catalogue has received over 300,000 streams.
