Presented by theunderworldcamden.co.uk •••••••••••••••••••••• INGESTED 🎥 https://youtu.be/vxGyDToa1V4 🔗 ingested.co.uk UK death metal juggernauts will unleash their new full-length studio album, The Tide Of Death And Fractured Dreams, on April 5th via Metal Blade Records! Not many top-tier death metal bands can record and release an album a year and follow it with an extensive tour. That’s hardly ever been the case for Manchester, England’s crushing, visceral INGESTED. Since the release of their fifth album, 2020’s Where Only God May Tread, the band has been on a creative tear that has produced almost a full record every year – even through the COVID-19 pandemic – but has resulted in the kind of musical growth that only comes from constantly practicing, playing, and writing. The band’s latest output, The Tide Of Death And Fractured Dreams, is not only as innovative and brutal as their last disc — the bleak, firestorm Ashes Lie Still — it showcases a band willing to expand its creativity without sacrificing the ferocity that made it one of the most impressively destructive, technical death metal bands on the scene. The Tide Of Death And Fractured Dreams is proof that once INGESTED sniffs out a trail of musical blood, they ravenously follow it until they’ve uncovered a festering feast. Produced by the band with the guidance of recording engineer Nico Beninato, the record includes a guest appearance by Chimaira‘s Mark Hunter who provides guest vocals for the track “In Nothingness” and Sylosis singer Josh Middleton who contributes to “Expect To Fail,” as well as the striking cover art of David Seidman. Whether pummeling listeners with double-bass rolls, blast-beats, and grinding rhythm; breaking it all down with jagged, staggered riffs, and piercing harmonics; or flooding the mix with rapid-fire bursts of minor key melodies, INGESTED has injected all of their experience, skill, and artistry into the ten trenchant new songs on The Tide Of Death And Fractured Dreams. Where the new album differs from its predecessor isn’t in its brutality or melodicism, it’s in the songwriting and the way the tunes flow together in a way that’s vicious, but not morose. “Ashes... was constructed in the COVID period, and the mood of that album definitely reflects that time,” the band notes, “With The Tide Of Death And Fractured Dreams, we wanted to bring the energy up a bit. As much as we like what we did with Ashes..., its depressive tone isn’t something we wanted to continue to explore quite as much. There are definitely some dark moments on ...Tide..., but for the most part, we took a more upbeat approach to the songs this time round.” In advance of the record’s release, today the band revealed the first single, “Paragon Of Purity,” and its accompanying video. The track seamlessly contrasts devastating guitar chugs and a spine-tingling minor-key licks with a wall of blast beats and a balance of intense, dizzying riffs that explore both sides of the sonic spectrum; it’s alternately reminiscent of Obituary and Morbid Angel. Elaborates guitarist Sean Hynes, who penned the lyrics for this particular track, “It’s about loving what we do, how hard we’ve worked for it, and the support we have from our families back home. Missing them and being on the road is hard, but we couldn’t do it without them.” facebook.com/ingesteduk facebook.com/fallujahofficial facebook.com/vulvodyniaband facebook.com/melancolia.aus facebook.com/metalbladerecords

Vulvodynia Biography

Looking in a medical textbook will tell you the following: Vulvodynia is a chronic, severe vaginal pain with no identifiable cause. While the severe part is dead-on, what a medical textbook won’t tell you is that Vulvodynia is also the pioneer in what is rapidly becoming South Africa‟s most eviscerating export.
Slamming Brutal Death Metal. With lobotomizing, lurid riffs, skinshredding blast beats and slams gruesome and filthy enough to induce septic shock, Vulvodynia are a lethal plague, spreading throughout the flesh of today‟s heavy music scene—infecting one set of ears at a time, and leaving no survivors.

Spawned in 2014 by Vocalist Duncan Bentley and Guitarist Luke Haarhoff, Vulvodynia is a South African slam juggernaut designed with one purpose: to make the craziest, most absurdly heavy music possible, while attempting to define themselves as more than just “another slam band.” If their mission was over-the-top heaviness, then consider it accomplished—from their debut release,
Lord of Plagues, Vulvodynia‟s penchant for skull-splitting technicality and eviscerating heaviness has been obvious.

Rapidly gaining popularity and recognition for their prodigal slam
prowess, Lord of Plagues saw the band reach ears not just in their local scene, but around the world as well. As the band‟s popularity grew, their sound matured, drawing more from a greater array of influences and improving their musicianship and dynamic.
In August 2014 the band signed a two-album contract with Australian Label „Vicious Instinct Records‟ and added producer Byron Dunwoody in as the second guitarist, in October of 2014, the band released their debut full-length
album, Cognizant Castigation. If 2014 was the year the band finally grew into their potential, 2015 was the year they shattered their own mold, evolving into an even more aggressive and creative display of no-holds-barred heaviness. The band released a lengthy-but-lurid eight track EP titled Finis Omnium Ignoratium, completing their contract with Vicious Instinct Records.

No longer satisfied with their status as a terrifying trio, the band sought to expand—searching South Africa for more like-minded musicians willing to bring forth brutality.
Vulvodynia‟s search was not in vain as they found Drummer Thomas Hughes (Fuzigish), Guitarist Kris Xenopoulos
(Technopath), Bassist Chris Van Der Walt (Boargazm) & Lwandile Prusent to join the band.

With a full-fledged line-up confirmed, the band made
their first moves with a signing to the legendary Czech-based label Lacerated Enemy Records. After signing to LE Records the band released their third studio album „Psychosadistic Design‟ along with their debut music video for the song „Flesh Tailor‟, The band then embarked on their first EU Tour in 2017 and went abroad twice more for Deathfeast Open Air (DE) & Fall In The Brawl (UK).In 2018 The band embarked on 2 tours through Europe as well as performed at Obscene Extreme Open Air. 2019 saw the band release their 4th studio album ‘Mob Justice’ which sent them touring the US and Australia/New Zealand for the first time as well as 2 Europe tours and a massive festival run.-- proof that there is no way to predict just how far or how fast Vulvodynia‟s sinister infection will spread.
