Billy and the Box Kid emerged as a duo in the Bend open mic scene when singer-songwriter Anderson Koenig (also known as Billy) and Scottie McClelland (the Box Kid) collided, both searching for an outlet for their musical talent. They combined Koenigs fast-paced acoustic country Rockn Roll with McClellands high-energy and distinctive style of playing the Cajon aka box drum. The band has since expanded into a five-piece group with the addition of Tommy Lutz on mandolin, Ryan Harris on lead blues guitar, and Ben Woessner on bass, helping to create a unique sound for the group. Their music is influenced by 1950s Rockn Roll, country, and bluegrass, with a hint of Southern blues. Their mission is to get folks out on the dance floor and stomping their feet.Based in Bend, OR______________________________________ Pacific Northwest based, Singer/Songwriter Kaleb Baize moseys about the ever expanding new age, Alt-Country, Folk-grass scene. With roots stretching from the blue Kentucky hills to the golden coast of California, this lonesome songster is making waves while weaving a network of top-tier artists. Drawing inspiration from the likes of The Stanley Brothers, Bill Monroe, James Taylor and George Jones; Kaleb is a craftsman, blending traditional standards with downright sorrowful original tunes.
