Formed in a storm of melancholy, fire and rage by two teenage brothers (ages 12 and 16) in 1996, Decapitated have honed their reputation as international leaders and absolute colossal purveyors of the metal genre. In 20 years, they have released multiple albums that are considered to be some of the most influential classics of modern Death Metal in the 21st century. The band has managed to cross-breed various styles and sounds, setting the bar higher with each new release. Flirting with various tempos, mixing Death Metal with Grindcore, Black Metal atmospherics with Stoner-Rock vibes and laying down foundations upon foundations of grooves and heavy, rhythmic riffs that transcend descriptions.
Septicflesh was formed in Greece in the early '90s and released a few well received albums but eventually went in a more symphonic direction with the addition of a female soprano vocalist. Since then, though line up changes and break ups and reunions, the band has continued with their ground breaking symphony style . The band further developed its unique sound that combines emotional, symphonic/soundtrack music with Aggressive Death Metal. The catchy songs have many layers, allowing them to expand their ever growing audience. Besides the continuous collaboration with the Filmharmonic Orchestra of Prague, the band used a full adult choir, a full children choir and a variety of ethnic instruments.
Born in 1992 from the cold winds of Montreal, Québec, Canada comes one of the country's top extreme musical exports to date: Kataklysm. Relentlessness and a hard work ethic have made Kataklysm a household name in the extreme metal genre in addition to their overwhelmingly positive reputation of fan-friendliness. With a career spanning over 20 years, Kataklysm is a leading force in the most brutal & powerful genre in heavy metal and has conquered territories such as Europe, North & South America, Australia, and Asia while recently becoming the first Canadian metal band to ever play South Africa.
Allegaeon is an American technical melodic death metal band whose lyrics tackle scientific themes, exploring things like the theory of evolution and biology, physics, cryonics, dyson spheres, the probability of alien life in the universe, stem cell research, and artificial intelligence. They have recently been rejoined by their original vocalist.

Decapitated Biography
Formed in 1996, Polish Tech Death masters DECAPITATED built a reputation over the years as one of the international leaders of their genre. Over their near 20-year career, band has released eight studio albums, which are considered to be some of the most influential death metal releases of the 21st century.
“Heads Above The Rest.” – Kerrang!
Across eight studio albums, DECAPITATED grew from the adolescent dream of teenagers from a small Central European town to one of the leaders of the metal genre. Each successive album further expands the band’s sound with genre-bending authenticity and integrity. As Metal Injection rightfully observed, “any self-respecting death metalhead knows the name well.”
DECAPITATED’s music is a weapon forged by four young men from a historic medieval-fortified town in Poland, which catapulted them to the top of a worldwide subculture. Like a rose in the devil’s garden, the DECAPITATED story builds triumph from tragedy. The gleeful grotesquery of extreme metal imagery and rifftastic bludgeoning beckons listeners to uncover broader truths.
Upon the release of 2017’s Anticult, Metal Hammer declared DECAPITATED “a serious successor to the likes of Pantera and Lamb Of God – a band who can draw new legions into the metal world as its new champions.” Their diverse follow-up, 2022’s Cancer Culture, delivers on that promise.
Wacław "Vogg" Kiełtyka (guitar), Rafał "Rasta" Piotrowski (vocals), Paweł Pasek (bass), and James Stewart (drums) are at the top of their game, delivering the goods at peak performance. Jinjer vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk and Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn make guest appearances.
Vogg and his younger brother, drummer Witold “Vitek” Kiełtyka, cofounded DECAPITATED in 1996. The rule-breaking ferocity and invention of their first four albums reinvigorated death metal. Sadly, this era came to a shocking end in late 2007, when the band’s bus collided with a large truck near the Russian border with Belarus. Vitak tragically passed away from his injuries. He was just 23.
Vogg summoned the courage to continue, in honor of his brother and what they created, and returned with a new incarnation of DECAPITATED and the fiercely adventurous comeback album, Carnival is Forever (2011). Blabbermouth declared Blood Mantra (2014) “perhaps the most poised and gutsy” DECAPITATED album, adding “its courageous bends make it a turbulent but pleasurable ride.” Anticult increased the musical diversity without sacrificing their signature sound.
The devoted supporters who traveled to see DECAPITATED on international tours with the likes of Lamb Of God, Meshuggah, and Soulfly over the years will recognize the ever-present pummeling backbone of Cancer Culture. Driven by Vogg’s passion and integrity, the dual emphasis on invention and skill maintains DECAPITATED’s stature as genre-leaders in 2022 and beyond.
