Conductor Giordano Bellincampi Cello Johannes Moser* Tchaikovsky Capriccio Italien Tchaikovsky Variations on a Rococo Theme Schumann Symphony No.3 'Rhenish' On holiday in Italy, Tchaikovsky collected folk tunes, bugle calls and dances, and tied them all loosely together in an exuberant confection. If the Capriccio perhaps teeters rather splendidly on the edge of kitsch, his charming Rococo Variations is impeccably tasteful. * Please Note Johannes Moser replaces the previously advertised, Edgar Moreau, who has withdrawn from the concert for personal reasons.

The Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (APO) is Auckland’s professional symphony orchestra, presenting more than 60 performances annually with a comprehensive season of symphonic work and multi-disciplinary events with contemporary artists.
Through its numerous APO Connecting (education, outreach and community) initiatives, APO offers opportunities to more than 20,000 young people and adults nationwide.
Each year the APO performs to more than 250,000 people live and over the course of the pandemic, has reached more than 4.3 million viewers globally through livestreams and other digital offerings.
