About this concert
Due to overwhelmingly popular demand a SECOND SHOW has just been announced THURSDAY 2nd MAY - TICKETS ON SALE TUESDAY 23rd JANUARY 9amKate Miller-Heidke is an award-winning singer-songwriter who traverses the worlds of folk, pop, opera and musical theatre.  She has performed on stages as varied as the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Coachella, the New York Metropolitan Opera, the Eurovision Song Contest, the Sydney Opera House, and the Roebuck Bay Hotel, Broome. And now, after long months locked away writing songs, she’s hitting the road to play in dozens of beautiful theatres around Australia.Kate will be playing her greatest hits and most beloved pop songs, as well as performing tracks from her original musicals ‘Muriel’s Wedding the Musical’ and the new ‘Bananaland’, some unexpected covers, taking requests, and telling stories from across her varied career. Excitingly, she’ll also be debuting new material from her forthcoming 6th studio album, which will dive deep into the genre of ‘gothic folk’.This is a special opportunity to see Kate in intimate, stripped-back mode, accompanied by her long-term collaborator Keir Nuttall on guitar. (The bendy poles from Eurovision will be there emotionally, but not physically).Kate says of the upcoming tour, “Playing live has always been at the heart of what I do - I live for it. I can’t wait to get back to some places I haven’t been in AGES, and some I’ve never been to, and connect with my amazing audiences across Australia. Regional crowds are some of the greatest people to play for!”Like all Kate Miller-Heidke shows, the CATCHING DIAMONDS tour will be a celebration of voice, storytelling, emotion, humour and music that transports and transcends, of discovering anew each night the transformative connection between the performer and the audience. This show will have an Auslan interpreter. All seats will have visibility of performers and interpreters however a limited number of direct viewing seats have been reserved. Georgia Mooney Biography

Georgia Mooney is an ARIA-winning singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Sydney. Her music is ornate, lush and hand-crafted. Her songs tell stories of the beauty and potency of vulnerability, and the complexities of connection and perception, carried by her soaring ethereal voice over lush, cinematic soundscapes.
Audiences already know Mooney from beloved folk band All Our Exes Live In Texas. With Exes, she became a festival favourite, touring extensively around the world. She’s shared the stage with everyone from the Backstreet Boys to Nathaniel Rateliff to Midnight Oil.

The release of debut solo singles War Romance, I Am Not In A Hurry, Break It Off & Soothe You mark an exciting new chapter and the stepping forward of a major talent. Her solo work is a stylistic departure for Mooney, a striking indie-folk-pop album, co-produced with Grammy-winner Noah Georgeson (Joanna Newsom, Cate Le Bon, Marlon Williams). Recorded over 18 months across 2021-2022 as the world walled off into isolation, Mooney and Georgeson turned the situation to their advantage, recruiting their dream lineup of musicians from around the globe, players whose talents have adorned recordings by artists including Phoebe Bridgers, Laura Marling, Adele, SIA, Bon Iver, boygenius and Rufus Wainwright.
Full of Moon, the album that resulted, is a glorious and imaginative sonic fresco, rich in texture and colour, and as wide in scope as the seductive intimacy of Mooney’s stunning vocals and confronting and deftly observed lyrics. Mooney’s music exists beyond the bounds of time and space. An avowed Star Wars nerd who presents as a 40s movie star - she seems both from a long time ago and a galaxy far away, while speaking directly to the present. Influences from every member of the Wainwright family, Joni Mitchell, the sophistication of the Great American Songbook and even classical composers sift through her songs seamlessly, alongside fuzzed out guitars and production that evoke the unsettling genius of Kate Bush - both her idiosyncratic wall of sound instrumentation and unexpected turns of chords and melodies. Add to that witty, ribald stage banter engendering frequent comparisons to Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge; Georgia Mooney puts on a captivating and unmissable live show.

Georgia Mooney’s debut solo album will be released on August 25, 2023 via Nettwerk.
