About this concert
68 LIVE at Grog Shop with The Callous Daoboys and The Homeless Gospel ChoirFriday, March 29th7pm doors / 8pm showAll Ages$20 advance / $25 day of show+$3 at the door if under 21Playing furious, stripped-to-the-frame rock rooted in metalcore and hardcore, 68 was the creation of guitarist and vocalist Josh Scogin. The group clearly subscribe to the notion that less is more; consisting of just a guitarist and a drummer, they generate a sound that is full and hard hitting. The tunes show a clear blues influence along with their crushing hard rock impact, while the vocals document a search for lifes answers expressed with a furious passion. 68s hardcore influences were strongest on their 2014 debut album In Humor and Sadness, while 2017s Two Parts Viper brought their blues accents up in the mix, and 2021s Give One Take One put a renewed emphasis on straightforward hard rock, albeit delivered with their standard level of intensity.

Homeless Gospel Choir Biography

Derek Zanetti, also known as The Homeless Gospel Choir, is a protest singer, author and artist based out of Pittsburgh, PA.

Through his on-stage humor and vulnerability, Derek creates an atmosphere of inclusion and community. He engages with the audience in a way that allows them to know that they're not alone.

His new record, Normal, was described by Frank Turner as "a generationally defining album for the underground punk scene.” He also said, “In half an hour, Derek reminded me of what punk's supposed to be.”

Derek's new 7-inch, Normal, debuts June 9 on A-F Records.
