About this concert
78 Saab’s sophomore release Crossed Lines is turning twenty. Released in the summer of 2004, in the days when albums were still recorded to tape, the songs made the perfect soundtrack for drinking in the back streets of Sydney’s Inner West. Described as ‘anthems for every broken hearted fool’, the record featured on countless end-of-year best-of lists. To celebrate, 78 Saab are breaking a decade-long hiatus for their Crossed Lines 20th Anniversary Tour playing shows in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane this coming April. Making it a milestone to remember, Crossed Lines will be available to fans, for the first time, on vinyl. Freshly remastered and pressed on 180 gram audiophile-quality vinyl, a limited number will be for sale at the shows.

The Devoted Few Biography

While some people search their whole lives for the elusive ‘it’, the thing that they’d like to spend most of their days doing, Ben Fletcher found ‘it’ in music at the age of 15. During the years that followed he went on to serve an enviable indie rock apprenticeship in Bluebottle Kiss, and he now fronts one of the most exciting bands in town - The Devoted Few.

Two albums (Sleepless, Billboard Noises), a remix EP (Schematic Tracks) and countless national tours has seen The Devoted Few receive accolades and support from Triple J, Rage and Nova, and share the stage with Augie March, Something For Kate, The Fiery Furnaces, The Cloud Room, Idlewild, Sarah Blasko and Eskimo Joe to name a few.

2007 kicked off with a blistering live set, complete with fake blood and nerd glasses, at Sydney’s Big Day Out, then a staggering 22 shows in 28 days with Sarah Blasko. The band then retired to the studio with acclaimed engineers, Anton Hagop & Scott Horscroft to record their much anticipated new album. It was then off to Nashville, Tennessee for mixing with Jacquire King (Modest Mouse, Kings Of Leon, Tom Waits). The result is Baby, You’re A Vampire, THE record for The Devoted Few. Stay tuned for release details.
