Product

1) 'product' is the work of Arman Christoff Boyles and Scott Rader. They started working together on music in 1990 when they met while studying Audio Recording in Los Angeles. Slowly, but surely, they attained their goal to create fully realized concept albums. "On Water" was a concept album based on a sailor's life during the American Revolution. Self-released in 2000 it was a critical success, but had limited distribution. Nonetheless the process had been worked out for making and recording music on the band's terms. In the same spirit of exploring the human condition through period pieces, product explores church vs. state with "Aire", their 2003 release, based on the life of Galileo. Their latest album "The Fire" was released in 2005, focusing on art, politics, war and based on the complex world of Nero. Their forthcoming album "Earth" is about to be released this winter.

about the band's name: ".. we were doing what you do when choosing a band name, making long futile lists of silly things, when suddenly outside the window of our booth we saw a homeless man walking across the street with the word "product" written on his back. I said, "how about product?". Scott said, "I can live with that. But, only if it's lower case." We both liked the understatement of the word and depending on the context it could be profound and ironic especially in the world of music making.."

2) Product (also known as The Product) is a collaboration between rappers San Francisco, CA's Will Hen and Jackson, MS' Young Malice. With their tenacious bounce and street-life narratives, the Product represent the next wave of no-nonsense gangsta rappers.

3) Product is a punk/riot grrl group. They released one LP "Style Wars"... little else is known.
