About this concert
Northside dancefloor magnets Honey are descending upon The Curtin for an exclusive and enigmatic debut.Veterans of the lost ‘party band’ art, Honey stretch familiar and future sounds to bend minds and hips around supertight funk and quasi-improvised electro-boogaloo. From lightspeed bass, to disco belters - at every Honey performance, the promise lingers in the air: ‘Move your body and learn something new'Still bouncing from their 2023 debut EP 'First Lick', Honey kick off 2024 with a full 90-minute serving of their 100% live, genre-hopping, disco-flipping sweet treat that guarantees a nudge-worthy boogie for you and the group chat.Honey’s bringing special friends to round out a luscious 4 hours of fun, with ‘Got The Sauce’ curators and Breakfast Club residents Nacho & Apolett going B2B on the decks throughout, as well as a soundscape blending disco, funk, R&B and Latin-inspired rhythms, courtesy of 8-piece live groove odyssey makers, Barefoot Spacemen (debut album out 19th January).Watch "Majnificent Love" HEREJoin for Updates HERE

Barefoot Spacemen Biography

Barefoot Spacemen are an energetic and endearing music group born in
Melbourne. The band draws from a wide array of influences and styles to create
a distinctive sound that’s both familiar and genre-bending.

The band effortlessly fuses funk, jazz, rock and neo-soul; inspired by classic
Motown grooves and ground-breaking modern artists such as Tom Misch,
Anderson.Paak and Lauryn Hill. This genre combination keeps punters on their
toes and keeps their bodies moving with contagious rhythm, driving grooves and
inviting stage presence.

Having independently released three EPs, Barefoot Spacemen are constantly
experimenting with their musical skills and on-stage performance. Playing
shows around the city at a multitude of venues, it’s safe to say they have
cemented themselves in the Melbourne music community.

With their debut album on the horizon, the band has found itself exploring and
developing an unheard sonic soundscape for their enthusiastic fan base.
