Both Plowed and Molly hit #5 on Billboards Modern Rock Charts, catapulting Rotting Piata to Gold, and ultimately Platinum status.Sponges follow up CD, the critically lauded Wax Ecstatic (Columbia) scored additional top ten Billboard hits including Wax Ecstatic and Have You Seen Mary? The bands music was also featured in popular movies The Craft, Chasing Amy, Mall Rats and Empire Records. I loved Sponge. They had such enthusiasm and energy and all the guys are insanely good musicians. My only feedback is the inclusion of 3 subpar opening bands and that the only ‘upgrade was early entrance to the venue; unnecessary and was not well explained at all. I’d love to see a schedule in advance so we don’t waste time. The bartender made a FANTASTIC old fashioned. Cheers all around.
