About this concert
Delighted to be releasing Mumbles' debut album 'In the Pocket of Big Sad' on 2nd Feb and bringing them to Oxford for their first headline show! Not to be missed! This is the second date on their 9 dates album tour!
London's dark and twisted experimental emo-noise lords leather.head come back to town after Divine Schism 10 and one of our new favourite bands Hööf open up with their weird off-kilter pop!
Mancunian power trio Mumbles specialise in joyous, desperate, beautiful and chaotic music, touching on everything from emo, noise rock, folk, ambient to free jazz. A bit like if Deerhoof were unhinged emos fronted by James Acaster, if Bill Orcutt inexplicably teamed up with Porridge Radio, or some insufferable collaboration between Sea Power and Xiu Xiu, all open-tuned guitars, major keys and bursts of noise. But also like none of those things, Mumbles are ultimately entirely their own.
