About this concert
Event Details 2022 was a blistering year that saw the release of her critically acclaimed and award-winning debut album 'Capricorn Sun' on Ninja Tune; collaborate with the likes of with Diplo, J Balvin, Silk City & HONNE; and play 100+ shows across the globe including supporting Disclosure (at Alexandra Palace & O2 Brixton Academy), Flume (at Red Rocks), and Glastonbury. She graced magazine covers and billboards across the UK and US for the likes of DJ Mag, Spotify and Amazon UK and the album was rightly lauded by both industry and fans, named "Album of the Year" by DJ Mag and BBC R1 Dance, appearing in plenty of End of Year lists including NME, The FADER, Loud & Quiet, Clash, PopMatters & more. She's now a BBC Radio 1 mainstay with several playlist adds under her belt and heavyweight support from Pete Tong, Danny Howard, Arielle Free, Clara Amfo, Jack Saunders and more. For the launch of 'Capricorn Sun' TSHA threw a 70s fairground/carnival-themed launch party at Vinyl Factory in London (partnering with Amazon Music) and Spotify, YouTube and Amazon Music all supported the release with Billboards in Times Square (NYC) and across London, with Spotify also including the single "Giving Up (feat. Mafro)" in their Best Electronic Songs of 2022 at #4. Her song 'Dancing in the Shadows' was also featured as the opening and closing track for Apple's Keynote Event in September 2022, with the video surpassing 30M+ views, resulting in 17k+ Shazams following the launch. Amassing 110M+ streams across digital platforms, TSHA is entirely self-taught. She released her debut EP "Dawn" in 2018, setting out her stall as an artist with an ear for warm, groove-laden basslines and bright, melodic hooks. Her follow-up single "Sacred" immediately caught the ear of Simon Green aka Bonobo, who included it on his "fabric presents" compilation album. This was followed by 2019's "Moonlight" EP on Counter Records which marked a turning point for the young artist as she began to garner critical acclaim from peers, press and fans alike. Her follow up for Ninja Tune — 2020's "Flowers" EP — continued to lay-out the multitude of styles that TSHA finds herself drawn to. Its lead single 'Sister' is a vibrant piece of music packed with melody and emotion, tinged with melancholic beauty, and written during lockdown after finding out she had an older half sister by her estranged father who she is also estranged from. NME described it as "emotion-filled electronic anthems from a star in the making" and Dancing Astronaut hailed TSHA's "delicate studio touch and distinct ability to blend influences from across the spectrum painting a picture of a producer mature beyond her years," naming her one of their 'Artists To Watch in 2021.' Further support came from the likes of NPR, Resident Advisor, Mixmag, NYLON, DJ Mag, and many more, with additional end-of-year highlighting from Billboard — who named 'Change' one of their dance tracks of the year — Beatportal, Paste and Earmilk. 2021's "OnlyL" EP followed a stellar run for the young British artist including the launch of her own bi-monthly 'Jackfruit Radio' show on Apple Music (featuring guests Elkka, Daniel Avery, Effy, Bradley Zero and Maribou State so far) with TSHA also named BBC Radio 1's "Future Artist" for January 2021 and "Star of 2020" by BBC Introducing, as well as delivering her debut BBC Essential Mix and a coveted Minimix for Annie Mac. Continuing to demonstrate the breadth of her palette, "OnlyL" comprised three tracks that spanned the title track's classy electronic pop — an instant earworm with vocals from NIMMO aka Sarah Nimmo and Reva Gauntlett, the "Brit Funk"-channeling 'Power' — which plays to another of TSHA's loves: club music, and was later remixed by the legendary duo Floorplan AKA Robert Hood alongside his daughter Lyric Hood, and 'I Know' — a perfect marriage of live musicianship and electronics built around a gorgeous hang drum motif. Coinciding with the "OnlyL" EP release, TSHA was named Mixmag's Cover Star for August's issue, she graced Spotify's iconic NMF billboard in New York's Times Square and the cover of their flagship 'mint' playlist, with 'OnlyL' also taking #1 spot on Apple Music's 'Loops,' and 'Power' named Amazon Music's #1 Electronic track of the year, placing her on their London billboard. TSHA was also Apple's 'Up Next UK' artist in June and was on the cover of New Music Daily and DanceXL with Zane Lowe describing TSHA as "An absolute club superstar. DJ, producer… one of the most exciting voices making club records," as well as being highlighted in Spotify UK's 'EQUAL' programme as 'Artist of the Month.' Additional support on the EP came from the likes of FADER, Resident Advisor, Mixmag, DJ Mag, Dancing Astronaut, XLR8R, Magnetic Mag, This Song Is Sick, Vinyl Factory, Northern Transmissions and more, with NME hailing the her "pop songwriting flair" in their 4/5 review. TSHA has also remixed tracks for the likes of Foals, Lianne La Havas, Throwing Snow, Qrion (Anjunadeep), Prospa, BRONSON (ODESZA x Golden Features), and more recently Silk City (Diplo & Mark Ronson) feat. Ellie Goulding. A highly in-demand DJ, TSHA has been a resident at DC-10 in Ibiza since 2022 and has played across venues and festivals such as at the iconic Printworks in London, The Warehouse Project, Field Day, Defected, Lost Village, Portola, Lollapalooza and more. She is also set to play Coachella's 2023 edition. ------------------ FRIDAY JANUARY 12TH 2024 TSHA + Shubostar 10pm • 21+ Only Table Reservations: BottleService@1015.com
