Lines of Loyalty Biography

No matter where you go, loyalty means the same thing. It represents a promise to uphold a code of honor. You remain true to yourself, your friends, and your family. Lines Of Loyalty maintain this level of commitment to both their craft and their mission. The Kenosha, WI trio—Nubz Morrison [vocals, guitar], Redo Ianni [bass, vocals, keys], and Shane Madsen [drums, percussion]—deliver melodically magnetic rock anthems with unapologetic dedication and diligence. After years of success under the name Mixed Company, they assert themselves as a hypnotic heavy rock force on a series of singles in 2021.
In fact, they’re so committed the word “Loyalty” adorns Nubz’ face...
“Loyalty is very important to him,” Redo states. “He always preaches about how he’s been hurt so many times, so he wants to surround himself with loyal people and live his life that way. The name made sense for the band on so many levels.”
“It’s who we are and what we want to embody,” agrees Nubz.
The guys initially made waves in the Midwest as Mixed Company. Not only did they release a fan favorite full-length and EP, but they also shared the stage with heavy hitters such as Puddle of Mudd and Royal Bliss in addition to touring with Pop Evil. At the top of 2021, they morphed into Lines Of Loyalty, drawing on influences such as Incubus, Seether, and Slaves and embracing their heavier tendencies.
“We grew up on heavy music,” adds Nubz. “We’re taking that side, mixing it with grunge and melody. We’re a rock band at the end of the day.”
To bring this vision to life, they hit the studio with producer Chris Dawson [Saul] to record in 2021. Now, they officially introduce Lines Of Loyalty via the single “I’m Not The One.” Anchored by a thick beat and punchy bass line, the track twists and turns through unpredictable riffs towards an instantly chantable chorus.
Right out of the gate, it illuminates their range both sonically and vocally.
“As far as the meaning, you could think of it in terms of a relationship, but it also could be about battling your own demons,” reveals the frontman. “We’re all personally fighting to be good or bad, do right or wrong, and stay on the dark side or the light side. It really means a lot to us now. The emotion is raw, real, and straightforward.”
Due to this honesty, the guys will ultimately inspire just as much loyalty from listeners as they unleash more music.
“We take a lot of pride in what we do and try to put on the best show we can,” Redo leaves off. “It’s about being consistent. There are no backing tracks or crazy production. It’s just the three of us with all of our talents on display.”
“We don’t hold anything back,” concludes Shane. “We look ahead to what’s next, we make goals together, and we crush them every time. We always stay loyal to each other too.”
