About this concert
2024 will mark the 15th year of the highly successful, hit-filled summer package, THE “HAPPY TOGETHER” TOUR. The Tour is once again joined by THE TURTLES, who also act as musical hosts for the evening. Along with THE TURTLES will be JAY and the AMERICANS, THE ASSOCIATION, BADFINGER, THE VOGUES and the COWSILLS. THE TURTLES are best known for their harmony-heavy California pop sound. With such hits as “Elenore,” “She’d Rather Be With Me,” “It Ain’t Me Babe,” “You Showed Me” and the title of the tour, “Happy Together,” the band ruled the airwaves in the late ‘60s. Ron Dante joins the line-up to delight with his own mega-hits, “Sugar Sugar” and “Tracy.” We are proud to present JAY and the AMERICANS, Few groups have ever reached the musical heights with hits from 1962 – 1971. This group charted an amazing Five Billboard Top 10” hits and Twelve “Top 20” hit records. Their breakout hit was “She Cried”. Also returning to the tour for 2024 are THE ASSOCIATION, who enjoyed massive radio success in the ‘60s, with such #1 hits as “Cherish,” “Windy,” “Never My Love” and “Along Comes Mary”. THE VOGUES are also known for their harmony-driven soaring pop sound. They had numerous Top 10 hits with singles such as “Five O’clock World”, “You’re The One,” “My Special Angel” and “Turn Around Look At Me,” among others. BADFINGER, from their legendary lineup, Joey Molland continues the unforgettable legacy of BADFINGER. One of the original signings to the Beatles’ Apple Records label. They had their first hit single with a Paul McCartney penned song, “Come and Get It”, which went to #7 in the U.S. charts. BADFINGER followed this with their own compositions “No Matter What”, “Day After Day” Rounding out the bill are THE COWSILLS, the harmonious singing family (two brothers and a sister) that inspired the smash ‘60s hit television show, THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY. They are sure to delight with their best-known songs, “Hair,” “Indian Lake,” “The Rain The Park & Other Things (I Love The Flower Girl)” and more.

The Vogues Biography

The four-man vocal group, originally calling themselves The Val-Aires,
began working together in the late 1950's. Living in the small town of
Turtle Creek Pennsylvania, they got their start as typical high
school teenagers, having fun in the halls of Turtle Creek High School.
They quickly gained popularity. Their unique vocal sound got them a
contract with a small record label known as Co & Ce.

Turtle Creek (always pronounced turtle crick by Pittsburghers) in
the 1950's and 1960's was known as a tight-knit industial town, something typical of suburban Pittsburgh during those times. Nearby factories churned out steel and trains whistled by while this group churned out ballads and songs that would take part in the roots of the evolving Rock and Roll era.

The Val-Aires quickly changed the name of the group and downsized from five members to four members to become the popular group that we all know: The Vogues®. Several hit albums followed until the popularity of vocal groups declined during the uprise of Rock and Roll.

Now the group's name is owned by Stan Elich and
Bengar, Inc. And Hugh Geyer is back performing with Stan's group after
a 34-year break. Many agree that Hugh is the sound of The Vogues.
See one of their shows and let us know if you agree.

Vocal groups may have experienced a decline in the 70's and 80's, but
now everyone wants to hear the sounds that they grew up with all over
again. And that sound is unmistakably The Vogues with Hugh Geyer.

Let's not forget the roots of The Vogues:
This site also celebrates the ORIGINAL members which we all know and love.
They are Bill Burkette (lead), Don Miller (baritone),
Hugh Geyer (first tenor), and Chuck Blasko (second tenor).

Chuck is the only member who has performed continuously and actively as
the Vogues since the inception of group. Hugh Geyer and Bill Burkette recently (re)joined
The Vogues (Stan's group), thus providing both groups with original members!
This is an exciting time for Vogues fans young and old.

Moments to remember?
While the rest of the original members have taken different paths in their lives,
they all remain friends. They were reunited as a vocal group on stage
at the 2001 Induction Ceremony of the Vocal Group Hall Of Fame located
in Sharon PA. It was an emotional moment for singers and fans.
