About this concert
The DIY touring, genre-fluid, Alt-Americana, folknroll duo/trio, Rockwood Taylor. Based out of Newburyport, MA, we are low maintenance, high vibin and seeking shows for 2024! Our 2019 debut release was nominated by the New England Music Awards for Album of the Year and my song, Shades of Blue was #1 on the RMR Alt-folk chart in January 2020. Rockwood Taylor
Charlie Rockwood Farr and Lynne Taylor are singer songwriters and multi-instrumentalists who first met while on tour with Alt-country band, Liz Frame and the Kickers in 2011. They went on to work together in the Lynne Taylor Band and Halo and the Harlots, finally landing as Rockwood Taylor, an edgy Americana duo that calls on a wide range of influences from Woody Guthrie to John Prine and Townes Van Zandt, Billie Holiday to Patti Smith. The result is a collection of rootsy, gutsy, honest songs that transcend boundaries, taking the listener on a gritty journey through our collective human experience.
