Ben Katzman's DeGreaser

Whadap I’m Ben Katzman, an Axe-Grinding Aries on a mission to slay posers and spread the shred. I’m over the sterile corny bios so I figured I’d say whadap my self! If you’re reading this in the voice of Michelangelo from Ninja Turtles, then we’re on track to kick back.

When i'm not on tour, I double as shred instructor for the kids, hopefully inspiring them to rock their hardest. I am obsessed with all things heavy metal, astrology, and 90’s television, and my main mission in life is to express myself through riffs, and chill as hard as possible with as many real ones as possible. Music has been the only constant in my life opening doors and allowing me to slay adventures around the world.

Getting to share my songs and spread my shred is a privilege I never take for granted! Over the last few years I’ve gotten to tour the world, teach guitar to people of all walks of life, partner up with Volcom for many epic surf tours, make music for Star Burns Industries (Rick and Morty, Community), all with the guitar.

In my past life aka my early 20s, I got to put out records and tapes for Japanther, Free Pizza, Mannequin Pussy, and many more on my own label BUFU. I’ve even been able to shred some riffs in some of my favorite bands like Guerilla Toss but my true mission in life is to lift everyone around me up from their existential dread and convert them to living shred.
