Raindance at fabric "Cut from the original cloth" Saturday 27th April 2024 - All-dayer Introducing the line-up for our first ever Raindance at the legendary institution that is fabric, London! We bring to you the true fabric of electronic dance music with a celebration of Old Skool, Rave, UK Hardcore, Jungle, Drum and Bass. The one and only Swan-E playing alongside DJ Ron and Kenny Ken in Room 2 (Jungle Dum and Bass)... plus a set with Richie Fingers and Trevor Fung in Room 3! (Old Skool, House, Acid) While DJ Faydz and Mad P play a Top Buzz set in Room 1 (Raindance main arena). This line-up sees a true Raindance mix from chart smashers to underground legends, the artists that have shaped our beloved culture world wide.... if you don't know you better get to know! And for the first time since '89? ... The Beatmasters Live! Carving up Room 1 will be The Beatmasters - lords of Hip-House playing live. Renowned for their UK chart smashes ’Burn It Up', 'Hey DJ/I Can't Dance (to That Music You're Playing) feat Betty Boo and of course 'Who's in the House' 'Rock Da House' and 'Ska Train'! Remix duties has seen them work with everyone from The Shamen to David Bowie, Depeche Mode to Moby and now the Beatmasters are beating up the hip house scene once again! Rob Tissera Biography
Rob Tissera is one of dance music’s most prolific stars. A top-selling producer and versatile dj whose technical brilliance and effervescent sets have seen him pack out parties across the globe. His track 'The Day Will Come' is widely considered a dance music classic featuring on many of the 'best of' Dance Music compilations throughout the years.
Tissera’s experience and ability to thrill audiences playing any genre is something only a handful of DJ can match. Famed for his hi-energy sets he’s also rocked audiences playing house, dirty funk, uplifting house or big room high energy trance. The master of the closing set Rob is also often booked for his consistent ability to keep the floor packed to this end: and of course his gregarious personality. He is also the founder and one of the main Djs at Leeds based house club Kissdafunk.
Well known tracks include: 'The Day Will Come' (Quake vs Rob Tissera) which reached UK Charts, York 'Awakening' Remix, Stay (Rob Tissera), Holdin' On (Rob Tissera), Kick Up the Volume (Rob Tissera), Beautiful Like You (Rob Tissera), Burning (Rob Tissera). Check his discography for full list.
He has also mixed numerous comp albums Judgement Sunday 2008 Mix, Hard Dance Anthems, etc. He also contributed 4 tracks and his expertise to the Orginal Soundtrack of Human Traffic. He has also done a couple of Radio One Essential Mixeswith the last being in 2004.
A forward thinking dj Rob is constantly embracing new technology in music.
A world-class remixer Rob re-edits the majority of tunes he plays which gives the audience a unique musical experience. Such is his skill on the decks he mixes using three decks and two CDJs overlaying each song with accapellas and effects to add to the Tissera experience. His sets are really something to behold.
