Ingrid & Christine Jensen with Ashlin Parker & Friends Infinitude the concept of boundless possibility is at the center of the music of Ingrid and Christine Jensen. Over the past 20 years, as trumpeter and saxophonist respectively, the West Canadian sisters have each shaped prolific careers in contemporary jazz, collaborating with influential names such as Clark Terry, Maria Schneider and Terry Lynn Carrington, working with large and small ensembles, and responding to various commissions to compose for jazz orchestras around the globe.For their 2016 Whirlwind Recordings debut, Infinitude, the Jensens realized a long-held ambition to write for and perform in the more intimate setting of a quintet, combining their intuitive, sibling trust with the creativity of renowned like-minded musicians. This collaborative spirit has been at the center of their careers ever since. Tonight, during the annual Jazz Education Network conference week, the Jensen Sisters collaborate with New Orleans trumpeter, educator and pied piper of the rising Trumpet Mafia, Ashlin Parker, to present an all-star ensemble for one night only, featuring: Ingrid Jensen - trumpet Ashlin Parker - trumpet Christine Jensen - saxophone Joey Calderazzo - piano Amina Scott - bass Jason Marsalis - drums Shows at 7:30pm & 9:30pm Doors at 7:00pm & 9:00pm Restaurant is Open 5pm - 11pm for dinner before or after your showtime:Advance Ticket Holders can now automatically make dinner table reservations for the Dining Room online via OpenTable.com !Advance Ticket-Holders can also make table reservations for dinner by Emailing reservations@snugjazz.com after your tickets have been purchased online and forwarding your E-ticket confirmation with dinner request info. Christine Jensen Biography

Saxophonist, a composer, and conductor Christine Jensen, based in Montreal, perform music on a global scale. She won the Oscar Peterson Award at the 2017 Montreal International Jazz Festival and received two Juno Awards for her jazz orchestra recordings. This year, she is back with a new project in a quartet format, surrounded by three talented musicians: Steve Amirault (piano), Adrian Vedady (double bass) and Jim Doxas (drums).
