Close Quarters Biography

Close Quarters hail from the tiny Swedish town of Vadstena – so far only known for it's monastery and Bridget of Sweden, one of Europe's patron saints. She'd spin in her grave if she knew these five lads were representing the town these days. With the band's second album, Always Alot, Never Little, released in August 2015, it's just a matter of time before Close Quarters is the most famous thing to come out of Vadstena. Always Alot, Never Little was recorded at Rokkfoxx studios in Malmö in the south of Sweden, April-May 2015. The album was mixed by Petri Majuri, hand-picked by the band on the strength of his previous work such as the award winning Sensory Overdrive by Michael Monroe. The album's first single and video, My Way or the Highway, was released in May and went straight to the #1 slot of the Swedish rock charts – just like their previous two singles. No wonder, since it's a quintessential Close Quarters track – hard driving, melodic and infectious rock'n'roll with a ton of attitude. The title track was written together with Backyard Babies singer Nicke Borg, and Friday Feeling features guest vocalists Spike from The Quireboys and Pontus Snibb from fellow Swedes Bonafide. The band members describe their latest work as more playful, yet more aggressive than its' predecessor, We Believe in Rock 'N’ Roll from 2011. The band is tighter than ever, which can be attributed to the fact that they've played pretty much every single club around Sweden during the last few years. Since the previous album, two new members have also breathed new life into the band: singer Taliqua and second guitarist Marty. Close Quarters was formed in the late 00's, while the band members were still teenagers, and quickly developed their craft while touring. They've so far done over 200 shows and opened for some of Sweden’s biggest rock bands such as Europe, Backyard Babies, Takida, Mustasch, H.E.A.T and Electric Boys. After a few very succesful singles and EP's, this already seasoned band is now ready for the next step of their career with their big, second album. Loud and obnoxious ROCK made in Sweden. "This band deserves a big break - Nicke Borg, Backyard Babies"
