Wet Bandits

Wet Bandits frontman Finn Roberts is playing a solo acoustic set of songs new and old. Get down to The Junk Bar Jan 13th for a night of indie acoustic bliss! Wet Bandits began in Wellington, New Zealand in early 2018 primarily as a vehicle for the bedroom-recorded songs of singer songwriter and producer Finn Roberts. In a live setting the band began as a three piece with Jack Roberts on bass and James Feekes on drums, playing original gigs around NZ as well as infamous four hour cover slots at iconic Wellington pub JJ Murphy’s . Over the years the group has grown into a large bandits family with a roster moving around the other commitments of life. These include Nick Castles (Lead guitar, bass, drums), Brad Roberts (lead guitar), Tim Hawkins (drums), Jahvan Scott (bass), Marlous Pancois (bass), Emir Music (drums), and Tim Walker (drums). Wet Bandits takes a very DIY approach to writing and recording material, keeping creative freedom and the deep exploration of Finn’s songwriting at the forefront. This has helped them to create a sound that is uniquely their own despite crossing into multiple different genres.
