About this concert
1984 von den Brüdern Chris (Guitar) & Steve Overland (Vocals & Guitar) und Drummer Pete Jupp mit Basser Merv Goldworthy sowie Keyboarder Didge Digital gegründet waren FM so etwas wie die große Hoffnung des AOR/Melodicrock, für viele die europäische Variante von Journey. Insbesondere die unverwechselbare Stimme von Steve "The Voice" Overland ließ eine große internationale Karriere erwarten - aber es kam alles etwas anders.
Die ersten 2 Alben "Indiscreet" und "Tough It Out" gelten heute noch als Blaupause des European AOR, aber die 90er Jahre und insbesondere der Grunge führten dann doch das Ende Band 1995 herbei. Das legendäre "Firefest" - Festival in England brachte 2007 das ersehnte Comeback und aus der One-Off-Show wurde ein Neustart, nun mit Keyboarder Jem Davis und Gitarrist Jim Kirkpatrick. Neun Studio- und Livealben später sind die sympathische Engländer stärker als je zuvor und haben sich insbesondere als Liveband einen exzellenten Ruf erworben. Höchst eingängige Melodien zwischen Hardrock und schmalzfreien Balladen, mehrstimmiger Satzgesang und fantastische Gitarrensoli lassen FM zu einer der besten Livebands in Europa avancieren - ein absolutes Muss für die Freunde des melodischen Rock.
Als Support konnte mit den deutschen Melodicrockern von CZAKAN eine Band als Support gewonnen werden, die sich 34 Jahre nach ihrem bemerkenswerten Debütalbum "State Of Confusion" mit einem bockstarken Zweitwerk ("Unreal") überraschend zurück gemeldet haben. Dieses Package passt!

FM Biography
FM formed in London, England in 1984 and quickly hit the road touring with the likes of Meat Loaf, Tina Turner, Foreigner, Gary Moore, Status Quo and the white-hot Bon Jovi on their "Slippery When Wet" tour.
For the next 12 years FM consolidated their position at the forefront of British melodic rock, touring everywhere they could to promote releases such as their 1986 debut INDISCREET, 1989's TOUGH IT OUT album, APHRODISIAC released in 1992 and 1995's DEAD MAN'S SHOES.
In 2007 - after a 12 year sabbatical - FM were persuaded to return to the stage for a 'one-off' headline performance at a sold-out Firefest IV at Nottingham Rock City. The rapturous reception from the fans at Firefest led to FM quickly making the decision to record a new album and following a return to Firefest in 2009, in March 2010 FM released their much-anticipated sixth studio album METROPOLIS.
FM have continued to tour consistently and when not on the road they have been busy in the studio. Since their 2010 'comeback' album they have released 2013's double helping of ROCKVILLE and ROCKVILLE II; HEROES AND VILLAINS in 2015 and INDISCREET 30 - a new 2016 recording of FM's classic debut album to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its release.
ATOMIC GENERATION was released on 30 March 2018, featuring the lead track "Black Magic". The radio single "Killed By Love" has proved to be a popular addition to the live set.
2019 saw the release of THE ITALIAN JOB on 22 February via Frontiers Records - a live recording of their set at Frontiers Rock Festival in April 2018 - on Blu-ray and as a DVD/CD package. FM toured throughout the year including European dates with Skid Row and festivals including Graspop, Sweden Rock, Ramblin' Man Fair and Barcelona Rock Fest. The year ended with December's Big 3-0 Tour - a triple headline bill with Dan Reed Network and Gun for the 30th anniversary of their 1989 albums Tough It Out, Slam and Taking On The World.
2020 brings the release of FM's twelfth studio album SYNCHRONIZED on 22 May via Frontiers Music S.r.l.
