Welcome to a new era, welcome to Disconnekt Berlin 2024. _____________________________ Introducing our new graphic concept: “Dystopian Realness”. What are we here for? What is the purpose of life? Is your instinct wanting to feel part of something bigger than yourself? Humans are wired to connect one another. Connection is what gives meaning to our lives. It allows us to feel we are here for a reason, and gives us the awareness to be part of humanity and the universe. “In order for connection to happen we need to allow ourselves to be seen” cit. Brene Brown. When we allow ourselves to be seen we are able to connect, share positive energy and feel a sense of worthiness and belonging. “Dystopian Realness” is inspired by the awareness of the profound impact of technology in our daily lives and relationships. Its power to isolate us, and modern tendencies to replace real connection with digital ones. A representation of how contemporary evolution is diminishing the borderline between technology and human intellect, and the rising need of chasing real emotional interaction and reaffirming values of equality, respect and empathy; fundamental to allow healthy human connection and the creation of new communities.
