Jonny Reid returns from Australia with his band for his first headline show in Dublin.
‘Come August It’ll be 2 years since my last visit and run of shows at home.
I always have a couple nights in Dublin when I’m home to see a gig or get to Croke so to announce a headline dublin show is something I’ve always wanted to do and for it to be at Whelans feels extra special. I can’t wait to see everyone in Dublin.’

Jonny Reid Biography
Jonny Reid hails from the small town of Portaferry in the north coast of Ireland. 2021 saw the release of his long awaited Debut album ‘Another Life’ which reached number 1 on Australia’s iTunes country charts.
Having previously opened for acts such as The Coronas, Hermitage Green, Nanci Griffith (USA), Ritchie Sambora (USA) The Whistlin Donkeys (IRE) & Andrew Swift (Australia) Reid is no stranger to performing live.
2023 seen the release of Reid’s new single ‘Portaferry’ and the first since joining up with the high in demand Australian producer Michael J.Bono (Avril Lavigne/Blink 182) creating a very fresh anthem. An electric live performer and a busy touring schedule 2024 looks to be the Irish troubadour’s biggest yet.
