The Scott Weis Band has been voted one of PA’s best bands by Shinbone magazine. Scott Weis Band also is a 2012 Blues Hall Of Fame Inductee as Great Blues Band of PA Simply stated, the Scott Weis Band is “No Bull Rock and Roll” (Tinsley Ellis – Blues Great). "This Is one bad ass trio" Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top "Y'all remind me of the good ole Days" Johnny Winter. SWB has headlined festivals in the northeast with averaging crowds of 5000 people. SWB is #1 requested Support Act opening tons of shows for National Acts. For 10 years the band’s been working the eastern seaboard of the US splitting bills, headlining festivals and night clubs. Leaving each show with waves of fans blown away with the style and talent that is brought out each night. What draws the crowds is their pure soul sound, emotionally infused rock played with the genius of musicianship rarely seen in a live show. The band consists of three members. Scott Weis’s soulful voice and searingly melodic guitar playing fused with unison harmonica. Todd Lanka on Bass adds the style of the past masters of Blues and Rock Playing upright bass as well adding a seemingly perfect fit. Andy Pace on Drums a honored to have one of my favorite rock drummers join SWB. The culmination of this band leaves crowds with a lasting question in there mind where did these guy’s come from? The gestation was perhaps Band of Gypsies, Led Zeppelin, Mountain, Humble Pie.It is plain and simple it’s The Scott Weis Band. So lets groove on back to the days when rock music had freedom… the days of the Filmore, when rock was pure and innovative, and the musicality was key, let us now say we have The Scott Weis Band. Scott and his crew have raised the levels of blues and rock with their high energy infused style, blending in a little good ole’ Memphis soul to set you musically free. SWB has gained fans across the country one listen at a time. After seven years and two CD’s the SWB is in the studio set to release two CD’s by 2011.
