About this concert
Annyira sok jelentkező volt idén a Kikeltetőre, hogy kimaradtak olyan együttesek, akiket mindenképpen fel akartunk léptetni. Ez az este erről fog szólni, mégpedig a Gólyában, a koncert után pedig egy klasszik KERET dj szett zár majd.
⬣ ANCIENT SPACESHIPS
A psych pop-ot játszó, a közelmúlt indie irányzatait vegyítő Ancient Spaceships idén debütált ’Dream Well Tonight’ című koncepcióalbumával, mely Juhász Zoli frontember gyerekkori, Mézga Aladár által ihletett, egészen komoly űrhajó-építési terveiből táplálkozik. Azóta az univerzum felfedezéséhez inkább a zenélést tartják megfelelőbb, ám cseppet sem egyszerűbb megoldásnak. Merengő, érzelmekkel teli, fejlődésre, változásra reflektáló zenéjüket most leginkább fesztiválok közönségei elé vinnék.
⬣ SUN-ROT
A Sun-Rot egy igazi szörfös lo-fi hangzást hozó, punkos beleszarással működő psych rock zenekar. A négy tagú banda titokzatosságáról leghíresebb, ugyanis anonim módon működnek, eddig egyetlen koncertet maguk mögött tudva. Egyelőre egy két számos kislemez és egy hat számot tartalmazó EP jött ki tőlük.
⬣ SOVIET MONDAY
A Soviet Monday bár csak tavaly nyár óta létezik, mégis egy összeszokott triónak mondható, hiszen különböző projektekben már játszottak együtt, például a Warshowban is. Nem árulnak zsákbamacskát, már a nevük miatt elég egyértelmű, hogy milyen zenét tolnak. Post-punk, óda a keleti blokkhoz.

Ancient Spaceships Biography
Frontman Zoli Juhász has a habit of dreaming big. At the age of seven he decided that the only sensible thing he could do was to build a spaceship and discover the universe. He drew detailed plans, imagined planets and waited patiently to grow just a little bit older.
Over the years, however, as the great, billowing dream precipitated into specifics, it began take a different shape. It became apparent that the best vehicle for exploring the world is not the spaceship, but the rock band. Unfortunately, true and honest art is hardly easier than orbital mechanics. To achieve big dreams one has to develop in character which is a slow process, heavy affected by what surrounds. The band’s long awaited debut DREAM WELL TONIGHT is a concept album about becoming a better person. Inspired by people like Joe Strummer, Alex Turner and John Mayer, this music boasts meticulous lyrics, impressive guitar playing and toe tapper grooves. The songs grapple with fate, emotions, ideas, politics, regrets, and the persistent urge to break out of complacency.
On 2021-08-21, the birthday of Joe Strummer, the band played its debut show under the new ‘Ancient Spaceships’ moniker. With the record finally streaming, they’re excited to go on tour —
