HotBox – Not quite what you think. In between crime and virtue, right and wrong, freedom and jail, lies the path of HotBox. Absolutely not an award winning, pop chart occupying bands, They have been around Israel's Numetal/ Djent scene since 2013, with an EP titled "Bite me", and their frontman Dave AKA Cise2 behind bars, who was recently released and is now fully operational. Danny AKA Skinny G and Elick AKA Sixpack were on the outlook for an mc, and life happened. 'The guys told me they got some material to show me, and as soon as they started playing I knew it was it' Says Dave, 'We came up with the name "HotBox" whilst taking five, and we stuck with it' he adds. Danny and Elick set out to do what they love to, Danny reflects: 'I was about to quit music and move on, we couldn't find a fine mc, and then I and Elick have found Dave, bringing this 90's rap resembling sound, and I'm still rocking the set!' Dave goes on: 'My dad is a metalhead, so I was brought up listening to metal and rock, and then I've fell for rap, especially that NY vibe. When Skinny called I was like, finally I get to do both!' he summarizes. 'We range from funk, djent, and numetal to rock, grunge and fusion, we just vibe out' adds Eddie AKA Flippa. Upon Dave's release, the band has planned to tour through Eastern Europe in December, and is currently working on an album. *HotBox has recently acquired amplifying equipment and a generator, and is rocking the country. 'It's a movement we call "Find us wherever", we got sick of my curfew.' says Dave. 'The bottom line is, it's a people's movement. I am trying to give others a voice, I just want to share what I know. Dave says. 'I believe it's not about the skills you display, it's about the soul, it's standing for something. I'm doing it for I believe in change.' Says Danny. 'We all deserve to express ourselves, no matter what we feel or think, it's ok, and I'd like to let others know. Those who paved the way for me have made a difference, I believe I can too.' Eddie says. 'If not for music, I'd be dead a long time ago, I'm paying my homage. It's all about doing you.' That's all folks!
