This exciting evening will be the first time that Baltimore-native pianist & educator Cyrus Chestnut and violinist/vocalist extraordinaire Dr. Chelsey Green perform alongside one another. Our ticket package includes a 4-Course Meal consisting of an appetizer, entree, dessert, and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as a Champagne toast at midnight. Over 3 hours of joyously world-class music by two wonderful bands to ring in the new year! Cyrus Chestnut, called “the best jazz pianist of his generation,” has worked with many of the best-known figures in jazz in recent decades, and is featured on and recorded over 30 albums of music. Chestnut has performed on some of the most acclaimed stages in the world, continually tours with his trio, and works as a Professor of Jazz Piano at Howard University. Cyrus Chestnut & Affirmation includes Tim Green, Eric Kennedy & Obasi Akoto. Described as “passionate, electrifying, and innovative,” international, Billboard-charting recording artists, Chelsey Green and The Green Project, break down stereotypes of traditional string playing. By fusing traditional classical technique with popular songs and original pieces in various genres – including R&B, Pop, Soul, Funk, Jazz and more – The Green Project brings vibrant violin, viola and rich vocals to audiences in a whole new way.
