More rooms and artists running longer then ever! Everyone’s the hero in their own story. Come 7:00 AM on January 1st, 2024, we invite you to enter your villain era. Get in touch with your inner bad guy or girl at Day One: Villainous. Seven unique rooms will descend into a mind-bending labyrinth, a lurid lair of Dionysian excess in which each stage will represent a unique villain’s lair. The best of Denver’s worst will be in attendance. Driven mad in an echo chamber of hypnotic rhythms with no light from the outside world to guide us, we will sacrifice the first day of the solar year to the dark embrace of evening. There will be no rest until midnight. Do-gooders will look upon us in horror, lamenting that we’ve finally taken our subversive plot too far. If only they knew just how much lower we truly intend to go. Dozens of local DJs and three headliners will let their shadow selves out to play, and infamous underground figures will play clandestine secret sets. To exact this master plan, we have once again redoubled our production arsenal. Upgraded sound, lighting, lasers, and visuals make for a spectacle of sinister fantasy. You know it’s true: The villain is the character everyone remembers. If you’re honest with yourself, you can even admit that you would take a real villain over a false hero.
