The Oak Ridge Boys

It was an older venue. Built in 1931. Very unique in it's own way with the old time outside lighting, ceiling and wall artistry. Seats are a little narrow but still would rate it a 5 star. The "OAK RIDGE BOYS" WOW. We sure missed Joe Bonsall singing tenor. He had to retire in Dec./Jan. due to medical issues. The new gentleman-Ben James, who is in his mid 20's is really awesome, energetic and offers a little offside humor. Duane Allen, lead singer-William Lee Golden, baritone- and Richard Sterban-bass all in their 80's put on a very energetic show. Sincere and heartfelt singing with all their hits. The crowd was so excited and singing along with them as well. Probably my twentieth+ time seeing them. This was in the top 3 of all the times I've gone to their concerts. I can't leave out Darrick Kinslow, their road manager. He does their pre-show speaking with info about the group, merchandise and any upcoming events. Very funny as well. A great way to start the show feeling good. This is their FAREWELL TOUR. They sure earned it. There is no other group that could compare. Sincerely Kevin McGuire

Great show!! So glad to see them during this farewell tour. The "new kid", Ben James, seemed to fit right in with the group... so glad to hear him along with Mr.s Allen, Golden, & Sterban!! Elvira, Yall Come Back Saloon, American Made, and Trying To Love Two Women - we heard all the great songs last night! Thanks for a wonderful show! (Oxford Performing Arts Center had an easy online ticketing process, great venue seating, and lighting was lovely. I look forward to coming back to this venue.)

The Oaks Ridge Boys, March 3rd, in Norton Auditorium were fantastic. My boyfriend and I had wonderful seats to experience the Farewell Tour of this wonderful group. We thought Woody Wright did an excellent job subing, and our hats are off to the new kid on the block for taking Joe's songs and making them his. I will miss seeing the "OAKS" in concert.....they are and have always been the ULTIMATE GROUP!!!!!!!!!

If this is the last time they come to Brown County, they left us with an incredible memory. They have been singing together for 50 years and yet the show was a solid 2 hours. They sounded as great as ever. The venue itself was very nice. However, management of traffic in the parking lot was dreadful. They did not plot out enough handicapped parking spaces for what they should have known would be an older crowd. The Oaks have come to Nashville since the mid 70's. I have been to most of those shows and have watched their audience age into their 60's, 70's, and 80's. This venue should have known that and prepared accordingly. They also did not have enough parking for those who had not pre-paid. The attendants did not seem to know where to send people. The show was delayed about 10 minutes because of that. Then there are the purse size restrictions, which are ridiculous and discriminatory. I don't have to leave anything in the car but my wife and mother had to? Nonsense. Thankfully my 75 year old mother who has significant health challenges did not have an issue as she had to leave all of her medications in the car. My wife, daughter, and I are coming for another concert in December. After that, we will not be back.

The Oak Ridge Boys never fail to disappoint and will always be my favorite group of all time! They put on a fantastic show and sound as phenomenal as ever. I have seen them many times over the years and each time is as exciting as the last! At this concert, I really appreciated that they each took time to talk to the audience and to share some of their thoughts and perspective on their careers. Good luck to all them when they retire. I hope they will always know the joy they have brought to their fans!

My wife and I have been following The Oak Ridge Boys since the late 1970s when we first saw them at the Minnesota State Fair. We followed them to the Wisconsin Dells and the State Fair when we lived in Minnesota. Then we started traveling to Branson MO and followed them there. Ten years ago we moved to Joplin MO and saw them there. Now that we reside close to Branson we do several shows per year. For all the years we have attended the show, there is only 1-show where I got front-row seats. That was the year when COVID happened and all of Branson was shut down and the show was canceled. Doesn't look like a front-row seat will ever happen now. Always enjoyed your shows. We have not followed any other group as much as The Oak Ridge Boys. Sad to see Joe slipping like he is but I guess we are all getting older and time goes on. Thank you for all the years of music.

The Oak Ridge Boys NEVER disappoint !! The show was fantastic. The fact that they have been touring for as long as they have with no intention of stopping; even at their age is more than remarkable !! The fans love them and their age spans MANY generations..... There were kids below age 10 and people in their 8O's all clapping and enjoying their music ! There are none other like them !!

I had a fantastic time. The Oak Ridge Boys were fantastic. Even though I listen to their music all the time it has been over 40 year that I saw them in person. I was singing along to my hearts content. It was great. Wws well worth the trip from Wisconsin to Myrtle Beach to see them. I did get pictures unfortunately. I do not know how to post them here. I will be seeing them again in June. Thanks again for a wonderful evening.

We cannot count the number of times we have seen the Boys over the years but this was so special to hear/see them in our home town. We were so concerned about Joey. He obviously felt bad but still pushed through and performed. He is in our prayers now. I could not believe the Temple was not packed out but Meridian only has a small number of event-going people. The night of the concert Jay Leno was at the MSU Riley center. So many of the small group of event-goers have season tickets at the Riley Center so I have attributed the lower attendance to that. As always the Oak Ridge Boys were not a disappointment! Loved every minute and we had awesome second row seats. We also enjoyed the opening star Amber Hayes.

Four of us ladies from work attended together we absolutely LOVED the show. The atmosphere was very nice. The opening band was very nice we loved their act. The Lions Club members were very helpful and one of the guys from the lions club was a real entertainer, we dont know his name he was cheering the Dawg Fans on if that helps, the ladies were in love with him. The Oak Ridge Boys didnt miss a beat, they were as Wonderful as ever. Will love to attend again.

Close to 50 years together, and these 4 gentlemen are amazing! Sang a good mix of 70's and 80's country hits, along with new gospel material from their latest CD, "Front Porch Singin'". It was a sold out show, with many having purchased lawn seating at this outdoor venue. Sadly, security and event staff were quite rude. I'm in a wheelchair and wasn't pleased with being treated as if I could run a marathon.

Well, what CAN I say except; totally amazing!! The boys are so very talented. They gave us their 100%. Great songs, wonderful harmonies. Specially when one of the performers starts singing a love song, and he directs some of its lines directly at you…. doesn’t get better than that. Felt so good to be part of this concert. They love their fans and it shows. I always feel rejuvenated when listening to them. Not to mention spiritually uplifted. These “Boys” need to be experienced by anyone who enjoys Country/Gospel music. A must see! Sylvia

“What do Jesus—dreaming—stool samples—and New Jersey have in common? You’ll have to catch the Oak Ridge Boys Front Porch Singin’ tour to find out! Joe—Duane—William—and Richard (73-78-83-78 yrs. of age) pulled into Spartanburg this afternoon with their famous tour bus for two shows, I caught the earlier. This is the overflow for tonight’s concert’ one of the members remarked bringing a laugh from the crowd. But seriously, the band captivated the audience with such gestures as William walking out into the audience and holding the hand of an older wheelchair bound fan and singing to her. Precious. There was an intimate sit down secession where the stools they sat atop transformed into rocking chairs as each of the boys took turns leading both story and song. The Mighty Oaks Band along with the sound production were top notch and right on the money, and who is the new guitarist, Darin Favorite. I found a new musician to follow, I love his style. You have to just plain old not like music to not have enjoyed this show. I’m super-grateful to have been able to have seen these living legends! DAve

It was an awesome Show. I am so happy that I was able to see them in Concert for the first time. I got to tell them that I enjoyed the Show and they smiled when I told them that I almost list my voice singing Elvira. Thank you guys for a awesome Show at Cherokee Casino in Roland. I brought my 9 year old daughter Peyton to the show and she absolutely loved it. I would also like to personally thank Austin for making it a wonderful experience for her. It was her first ever concert and he gave us his Drum Sticks after the show. Went out of his way to chase me down for it. I would have loved to meet the entire band, but Peyton was ready to go home. She really enjoyed seeing Santa as well. I was surprised that she was the only kid there. I think the boys enjoyed that as well seeing such a young person on the audience. She has been talking about the next concert already. So we are looking forward to them coming back to Northern Michigan!!!! Thank you so much, have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

It was a fantastic night. The first half was their hits like: Elvira, Thank God For Kids, & then they had an intermission. Afterwards they had their Christmas set with: Christmas Cookies, Down Home Christmas, etc. They say in rocking chairs & talked about memories & sang songs from their new CD. They were on for 2 hours + but it didn’t seem that long.

It was so amazing! Joe, Duane, William Lee and Richard have more energy than performers 40 years behind them. Their vocals are strong and their love for their art and sharing it with the fans is beautiful. The site was great. Loved being able to walk over from our hotel. Second row was phenomenal. We cannot wait to join them there again soon.

It was one of the best concerts I have been too, they bring a little of their popular music then bring in the Christmas music and remember Jesus is the reason for the season. Then they take time for the kids of all ages and that means a lot!! Lots of love to Joe, Duane, William Lee, and Richard!!!

As always The Oak Ridge Boys put on one of the best shows ever. That was my 16th time seeing the Oaks and I am never disappointed. Will continue to go to their concerts. This one was special to us because of our daughter that passed in October she wanted to see them again and it would have been her 24 birthday. As always we love the Oaks and always will.

"The Boys" are still one of the finest acts in Country Music. They sang many of their greatest hits, a few new songs and also paid homage to their roots in gospel music. At the age of 78 William Lee Golden's voice is still pure and clear. Joe Bonsall jumps, sings, and bounces all around the stage interacting with the audience throughout the show. It was a treat to hear bass singer, Richard Sterban, do his rendition of Dream On. Duane Allen, Ace, is a fabulous performer. His voice is gorgeous and he always sings with great emotion. If The Oaks come to your town make sure to go. A fantastic time will be had by all.
