About this concert
Performing Live: BESTIAL MOUTHS I SPEAK MACHINE SINE "The Holy Trinity Tour" is a musical statement with three female led bands, bringing awareness to female musicians and voices. The blend of each band's styles are a perfect mix of synths, beats, industrial and electro-goth with a future forward appeal. Bestial Mouths is an industrial electro-goth band from Los Angeles, CA. Their harsh electronics and lush melodies are layered with vocalist Lynette Cerezo's powerful vocals. Commanding beats akin to early industrial, Ebm, and minimal synth are programmed underneath, forming tribal rhythms and mystical pulses. Although their sound is constantly evolving, the recurring themes of spiritualism, mysticism, and tribalism are forever present as Bestial Mouths weave their own distinct creation that is something altogether unique and incomparable. I Speak Machine is the audio/ visual project co-founded by Los Angeles - based writer, performer, film composer & producer Tara Busch with filmmaker/writer Maf Lewis. For their live shows, Tara commands the stage alone, donning a range of costumes including pointed leather crowns, military inspired harnesses and uniforms, and vintage cherry-red jumpsuits. Shifting in an instant between harrowing, unhinged shrieks to stratospheric, operatic swoops, her performance is wild yet entrancing, featuring dreamlike interludes on her beloved synthesizers to offset the mayhem. Austin, Texas' electronic/alternative rock band, Sine is the brainchild of drummer/multi-instrumentalist, Rona Rougeheart. Their music can best be described as perfectly moody, embracing their goth influences proudly and creating dark wave masterpieces. synth. industrial. experiemntal. electro-gothic. doors @ 7pm; show @ 7:30pm. all ages. $16 advance; $21 day of show. Bestial Mouths Biography

Bestial Mouths is led through shrieking tempests and wraithlike wails by Lynette Cerezo, who summons haunting tales into existence, conjuring an in-your-face experience both visually and sonically, equally across stages and records. Their bewitching live performances take audiences on a dialectical journey juxtaposing consciousness with the unconscious, as she expresses her soul-shaking visions with anecdotal abstractions from her personal past with the darkest depths of the human condition.

After leaving behind a career in fashion design, and a past in political activism for gender equality, Lynette’s path led her to finally find her own voice - literally as well as symbolically – in singing. Her sonorous vocal delivery became her most powerful tool to articulate her passion for music and arts, as well as to convey her compassionate effort torelieve the struggle of life’s plights.

The pure magic of being truly free on stage allows her to give her heart to the open souls, to share that life force, in hope that it makes them feel alive for a moment too. Captivated by tribal rhythms and inspired by the emotional vocal range of gypsy singers, her urge for experimentation and constant learning are key to her creative process and musical progression.

Taking dark music to a new realm, since their inception in 2009, Bestial Mouths stays true to modernism with synthesizer-created classic base lines and melodies - that guitars and bass would have in the past, combining live acoustic and electronic drums, among their own created field recordings and vocal samples, using Lynette’s voice also as an instrument to experiment to new depths.

Bestial Mouths’ sound draws on many genre influences such as goth, industrial, post-punk, new wave, minimal synth, noise, metal, experimental, avant-garde and electronic music, while also experimenting with other art forms, wanting the audience & listener to feel, enticing them to think and experience all new music that reflects the past, present and the future.

Videos are also seen as a very important medium to Bestial Mouths, as a way to bring a visual to the audio that one can not experience with the live performance. Having caught the attention of many acclaimed music video directors, such as Mark Romanek for example, Bestial Mouths had also the opportunity to go on and work with Katie Rose (Lucas) on their video for ‘Ceased’.

Bestial Mouths worked with various acclaimed producers on their albums such as Jürgen Engler of Die Krupps for ‘Heartless’ LP, but also with David Psutka of Egyptrixx and Danny Saber of Black Grape. After their ‘Heartless’ LP (Cleopatra Records, 2016) they are currently promoting their new digital remix album ‘(Still) Heartless’ (Cleopatra Records, 2017) - with remixers such as Die Krupps, Zanias (of Linea Aspera), The Horrorist and Ludovico Technique, along with their two new tracks ‘Witchdance’ and ‘High Walls’ and a new video for ‘Worn Skin’.

The band has toured North America and Europe extensively in the past, having shared stages for club shows with the likes of Psychic TV, Austra, Chelsea Wolfe, Suicide Commando, David J. (of Bauhaus & Love and Rockets), King Dude, Youth Code, Cut Hands and Light Asylum. In support of their most recent Heartless LP (2016), Bestial Mouths had a 20-date European tour in 2016 with Brant Showers (∆Aimon / SØLVE) on drums, followed by festival appearance at German goth summit Wave Gotik Treffen Festival as well as Dutch experimental festival Incubate.

After being nominated as a finalist for Best Band of 2016 in the Auxiliary Magazine Awards (alongside Youth Code, IAMX and Cold Cave), 2017 started well for the band by returning to the US for another 20-date tour, followed by festival appearances at Portugese Entremuralhas as well as Swedish Kalabalik på Tyrolen dark music festivals, successfully supporting their new digital remix album (Still) Heartless, which they will continue to promote this year with select dates throughout Europe and the US.
