Johan Solo – A one-man band from the North
Singer and guitarist Johan Petersen is a seasoned artist who has won praise for his powerful vocals and electrifying live performances.
On stage, Johan anchors his bluesy vocals in a bed of earthy foot-stomping and acoustic axe magic that’s as much beatbox and bass as it is virtuoso lead guitar. The huge sound he creates comes from his live artistry alone – which is why he’s known as Johan Solo.
Originally from the Faroe Islands, Johan performs his own compositions and reinterpreted covers, setting himself apart with a style best described as Nordic Noir Blues.
