About this concert
Doors 7pm for 7.30pm start Tickets Online £16 Door £18 Under 25s £8 Track Dogs are four international ?madrileños? (Garrett Wall, Dave Mooney, Howard Brown & Robbie K. Jones) 2 Irishmen, an Englishman and an American. Based in Spain, the band name comes from the dark subterranean world of New York?s subway system. However, there is nothing dark or subterranean about the sound of Track Dogs. Their style is a dynamic joyous fusion of Folk, Latino, Americana & Bluegrass played on multiple acoustic instruments ? and a trumpet! ? overlaid with delicious four part vocal harmonies. Their new album, Blind Summits & Hidden Dips, entered the Official Folk Charts at number 22, and has managed to make Track Dogs pack even more punch. They have achieved grandeur in the sound that they?ve been cultivating over more than 100 songs in their recording career. Well-established in Spain and increasingly popular in the UK, they are surprising music lovers everywhere with ?Sun-shiny songs thriving on dark themes behind irresistible rhythms.? After a fortuitous invitation to the Costa del Folk Festival in Ibiza they teamed up with Firebrand Music in the UK who also represent folk legends Show of Hands with whom in 2023, they toured the UK and released a 23-track live album, ?Dog Show Sessions? culminating in a fabulous guest appearance at the Royal Albert Hall. Track Dogs are finally getting the recognition they richly deserve. ?Track Dogs play jukebox hits for the apocalypse? If you were looking to mark your card for the end of the world party; head to wherever Track Dogs are playing; for they surely will be playing. Squeeze in at the bar, drink up and thirst no more.? Americana-UK ?One of the great strengths of Track Dog?s music is the eclectic mix of genres they so successfully blend? It?s far easier to identify it as the ?Track Dogs sound? than it is to tease apart individual elements? Johnny Whalley, Folkradio.co.uk ?We?ve had many bands and artists come through our doors over the years, but Track Dogs are right up there with the very best of them, that much is certain! The connection they make with the audience is something special - smiles are the currency that they deal in with their mesmeric and ridiculously addictive sound. Destined to be huge festival favourites!? Ken Brown, Square Roots Promotions

Track Dogs Biography

Track Dogs are two Irishmen, an Englishman and an American, (Garrett Wall, Dave Mooney, Howard Brown & Robbie K.Jones), whose artistic name derives from the dark subterranean world of New York’s subway system. If they are still new to you, check out recent releases Fire on The Rails (2020) and Where to Now? (2022) and see why they are so hard to pigeonhole.

Formed in the Autumn of 2006 in Madrid around the eclectic line-up of acoustic guitar, electric bass, trumpet and cajón, over the following 17 years they have added banjo, ukulele and mandolin as well as honing their four part vocal harmonies, now very much an integral part of their “sound”.

Well-established in Spain where they are based, they are surprising music lovers everywhere with “Sun-shiny songs thriving on dark themes behind irresistible rhythms.” After a fortuitous invitation to the Costa del Folk Festival in Ibiza they have teamed up with Firebrand Music in the UK who also represent folk legends Show of Hands with whom they released a 23-track live album, “Dog Show Sessions”, in 2023.

With 7 albums under their belts (9 if you count the two they recorded as Garrett Wall Band 2006-2010) their versatile and accessible style allows Track Dogs to be at home in festivals as diverse as Americana Music Madrid, Electric Picnic (Ireland’s premiere mega-festival), Grand Northern Ukulele Festival, Shrewsbury Folk Festival, Folk Alliance International, SXSW, Cork Jazz Festival or even Trafalgar Square’s Saint Patrick’s Day Super Stage.

In 2023 they played the legendary Royal Albert Hall, made their debut at the equally legendary Glastonbury and capped it off with their 10th album, "Blind Summits & Hidden Dips", which entered the Folk Charts at No. 22.

“We’ve had many bands and artists come through our doors over the years, but Track Dogs are right up there with the very best of them, that much is certain! The connection they make with the audience is something special - smiles are the currency that they deal in with their mesmeric and ridiculously addictive sound. Destined to be huge festival favourites!”
