After leaving ‘IRON MAIDEN’, Blaze embarked on a solo career, during which he has released eleven full-length studio albums, plus live albums, live DVDs and compilations. He's also enjoyed an enviable reputation as one of the hardest working artists touring around, with a very special connection to his fans. In 2015 Blaze celebrated the 15th anniversary of his first solo release "Silicon Messiah" and then saw a significant worldwide resurgence of interest in his career, not least with the release of the "Infinite Entanglement" trilogy during the period 2016 to 2018. This was followed up with two live offerings - the albums and DVDs "Live In France" and "Live In Czech" (2019 and 2020 respectively). During these recent years Blaze has toured widely in the UK, Europe, North America and Latin America. He’s become particularly recognised for his unmistakable high energy, no-nonsense, live performances. Blaze joined DISTURBED onstage at the 2016 Download Festival for a rendition of ‘Baba O’Riley’ by THE WHO. During the period 2014 to present date, Blaze has worked with a settled line-up for his backing band, from Manchester Hard Rock / British Heavy Metal band ‘ABSOLVA’ - Christopher Appleton (lead guitar), Martin Mcnee (drums) and Karl Schramm (bass) Luke Appleton (rhythm/lead guitar) ‘ABSOLVA’ have received critical acclaim for outstanding performances with Blaze at Sweden Rock Festival (Sweden), Rock the Coast (Spain), Headbangers Open Air (Germany), Dong Open Air (Germany), Stonedead Festival (UK) In 2021, alongside co-writer/producer Christopher Appleton, Blaze released a new full-length studio album ‘WAR WITHIN ME’. Blaze Bayley Biography

Blaze Bayley was born as Bayley Alexander Cooke on 29th May 1963 in Birmingham, England. He is an English singer and songwriter, starting his professional music career as lead vocalist of WOLFSBANE in 1984. They released 4 studio and one live album together.
When Bruce Dickinson left IRON MAIDEN in 1993, Blaze was chosen as his replacement in 1994. His departure from Wolfsbane led to their disbandment later on that year. Blaze recorded two albums with IRON MAIDEN and toured with them worldwide.
In February 1999, when IRON MAIDEN announced that vocalist Bruce Dickinson was returning to the band, Blaze started his solo career.

He formed his own band, BLAZE, in March 1999. In May 2000 the debut album "Silicon Messiah" was released, followed up by "Tenth Dimension" in 2003 and "Blood And Belief" in 2005. In 2003 the band also recorded the live CD "As Live As It Gets".
Due to changes in the lineup and management, Blaze opted to rename the band under his full name, BLAZE BAYLEY and make a new start. In February 2007, the Blaze Bayley Band got back on stage with recording the live DVD album "Alive in Poland". In July 2008, the Blaze Bayley Band released their debut studio album, "The Man Who Would Not Die". The band recorded another CD/DVD live at Z7, "The Night That Will Not Die", which was released in March 2009. The second studio album "Promise and Terror" was released in February 2010.
Wolfsbane reformed and released a new album “Wolfsbane saved the world”. The band is still touring at festivals and in the United Kingdom.
In March 2011, Blaze decided to continue as a solo artist, working together with different musicians. He produced/released the album "The King Of Metal" in 2012, with co-writer with Thomas Zwijsen. The band toured together in Europe to promote the album. On this tour, the idea rose to record an acoustic EP with Thomas Zwijsen. “Russian Holiday” was released in February 2013, followed by a European and South American Tour.
During these productions and tours, he managed to record guestvocals for different bands and performed several shows worldwide with Paul Di’Anno. These shows brought him for the first time to Australia in 2012.
"Soundtracks Of My Life" - a 2-disc compilation - was released in 2013 to celebrate Blaze's 30 year career, with 30 songs that are important to him and his career. A DVD called "Live In Prague 2014" , recorded during his "Soundtracks Of My Life Tour" was also released , capturing two hours of heavy metal plus bonus material, followed by the 2015 re-issue of The "Silicon Messiah" album, including bonus tracks, to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the original release of this, his first solo record. Promotion for these last two releases has brought Blaze to new and familiar places.
Blaze released his 8th studio album, Infinite Entanglement which is scheduled in March 2016 featuring his European touring band (Absolva) including guitarist Chris Appleton, drummer Martin McNee and bassist Karl Schramm.
