About this concert
D.K. Lyons is a singer, songwriter, and producer whos been turning heads with his lyrical creativity and intrigue since his debut LP in 2020. Pulling influence from the likes of Tom Petty, The 1975, Third Eye Blind, Prince, and Jason Isbell, D.K. is dressing up alternative rock to fit him perfectly.Sydney Worthley is a singer/songwriter at heart with influences from the pop world. While the production of her single How Soon Is Now? draws from the 80s with dreamy synthesizers and echoing drums, it can be stripped down to its core to reveal a story of wondering when the heartbreak will end. Prepare yourself for topics of growing pains, raising your standards, speculating about the one that got away, imposter syndrome, and so much more. Sydney Worthley is always allowing herself to grow and evolve, no matter how daunting it may be.Kim Nicky born and raised in Seattle, Washington, dirtySoul/Rock artist Kimberly Nicholes (KimNicky) sound was shaped by the grunge music of her hometown and the southern gospel roots of her parents. Her journey led her to NYC where she made a name for herself on the underground music scene and in nightlife by way of The Box NYC/LONDON. Julia Kwamya New Yorks Julia Kwamya makes moody disco: delicate but rigorous synth pop that makes you tap into every emotion possible. Her work exists in a sweet spot between finding the impossible words to articulate sadness, and also being able to be joyful, to get down and groove. Its a little Bossa Nova, a little High Life la her African parents. Think of her music as like what would happen if Sade fronted the Knife. Ecstatic, weird, unafraid wearing ones heart on ones sleeve.

Julia Kwamya Biography

Led by singer/songwriter Julia Kwamya, “Julia Kwamya” aka Germans started as a bedroom pop project. Kwamya established herself writing “Wham B-Sides” with 2013’s “Cruel” produced by Kurt Feldman (Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Ice Choir) and “Wonderhow” produced by Josh Ascalon (Hooray for Earth, Neon Indian) and mixed by Kurt Feldman. In 2017, Kwamya toured internationally with Swedish cult pop band, The Radio Dept. Tragically life took a turn for the worst for the artist in January 2019 when she became paralyzed after a car incident. Regardless of her physical shortcomings, (a paralyzed right arm and learning to walk again), she persisted and released the project she had started with the help and guidance of producer/engineer Miles Robinson (Chairlift, MGMT, TV on the Radio) and producer/master mixing engineer Chris Coady (YYY’s, Hooray for Earth, Future Island) in April 2021.Her masterful debut EP “Feel Good About Feeling Bad” is a gem to be shared with the world.
