Casino Biography
Adam Zindani released his debut solo album 'Black Eyes Blue" in April 2023 .
Casino was an early project that remains very much part of the fabric of
Birmingham, West Midlands that has spawned more than its fair share of cultural giants down the years: W.H.Auden, J.R.R.R Tolkien, Tony Hancock, Black Sabbath, to name but a few, have had their DNA moulded by this particular, quirky patch of Black Country.
In keeping with this lineage of icons, came Casino. Immersed in the rich musical heritage of the city, Adam Zindani, Sam Yapp, Jo Crofts and Jimi Crutchley came together to make a sonically-charged wall of sound, reminiscent of classic rock and rock n'roll bands (think Zep, Cream, Guns N' Roses) while retaining an obvious originality.
Once on the brink of something big, Casino gave us a big sound, lyrics that actually mean something and songs designed for the terraces (if we still had 'em). The group's album, Heavy Fever (produced, mixed and mastered by Jim Lowe (Foo Fighters, Manics, The Charlatans), was released in 2013 (on Transmission Recordings) and remains a positive tidal wave of melodic noise on the musical horizon.
