Wall of Sound Biography
Wall of Sound recreates the energy and power of 1980’s Grateful Dead music featuring authentic tones, tempo and style.
Nick Sandoval has played in several California Grateful Dead Tribute bands for years including Stu Allen and Mars Hotel, and The Eleven, both based in San Francisco. Nick plays in Los Angeles based Tiger Rose, Skull and Roses, along with several others. Nick has quite the collection of replica Bobby Weir Guitars and Gear.
Jim Shank has been playing guitar since 1980 and studying and playing the music of Jerry Garcia since 1984. “This music is like jazz in that it gives you structure to improvise over and create new musical landscapes.”
SoCal keyboardist Ed Lyon is known for his work with WTFB, Cubensis, Electric Blue, Mr. Ectomy and more.
Jason Buck has been playing in live bands since high school beginning with Troy playing original music and songs of the Grateful Dead. Jason built the Sea Palace Studio and continues to play consistently with various South Bay musicians.
Jeffrey Brown has been a Blue Man in the world famous Blue Man Group for over 20 years. He has also played extensively with Michael Gurly from the band Dada,
Darren Pujalet is a founding member of the electro rock band Particle that has toured across the US, Europe and Asia. Darren has also toured the country playing drums with Mickey Hart in the band Hydra and Mickey Hart’s Mystery Box. He has also collaborated and performed with Robbie Krieger, Phil Lesh, Joe Satriani, John Popper, the B-52’s, Rob Wasserman, Buckethead, 311, Matisyahu and others while performing around 1300 shows over the last 2 decades.
