THIS SHOW IS STRICTLY 18+PLAYING TIMES: HUMAN NOISE 9.30 'TIL 10.10GUSH 8.30HANNIE DAY 7.30FREE ENTRY | $20 CHICKEN & EGGPLANT PARMAS | $10 PINTS OF MOUNTAIN GOATKick those Monday blues to the curb at Social Sanctuary – your weekly night of free live music at NSC. We've lined up a stellar roster of your fave local artists and some exciting new talents breezing through town! This week Human Noise, GUSH and Hannie Day are stopping by for a show. There is something undeniably frenetic about the razor sharp songwriting of post-punk 4-piece Human Noise. Off the back of singles Backwater and Regulate, the band have announced their sophomore album Glitching Colour  to be released on 17.4.24. With rigid drum machine patterns, gritty synths and off-kilter time signatures, the new music marks a page turn for the band as they delve into new sonic worlds while staying true to their agitated, introspective brand of rock.Influenced by the enormous guitar rock of the ’90’s, GUSH have forged their own sound through triumphant fuzzed-out guitar, melodic bass lines, and huge hooks that permeate throughout their music. Occupying a space between the Melbourne shoegaze, indie, and alternative scenes, the band blends songs about everyday life with an emotionality that makes you want to dance and cry.Social Sanctuary is proud to be sponsored by Mountain Goat.Quiet or noisy? Why choose? Hannie Day is a bedroom folk-grunge artist whose delicate voice and say-yes-to-melody approach hides her often dark lyrics and penchant for stepping on the grand distortion pedal of life. Born in Melbourne, but raised in Switzerland, she documents life in the inner north with the homesick love of a local and the wide eyed wonder of a traveller. From the folk rock of Big Thief to the emotional grunge of Slow Pulp Hannie Day wows audiences with her ability to transcend genre to tell a true story. Our show is being held on the lands of the Wurundjeri People and we wish to acknowledge them as the Traditional Owners of this land we are gathered on. We also pay our respects to their Elders, past and present, and Aboriginal Elders of other communities that may join us for our show.Northcote Social Club strives to create a safe space that everyone can enjoy.Crowd surfing & dangerous behaviour will result in removal from the venue.Full conditions of entry | Accessibility Info
