About this concert
?It?s Her Factory' is very excited to welcome back to the Trades the wonderful Rubie!
Following iconic appearances as a member of F*Choir and Jenny Moore?s Mystic Business, her powerful voice will once again bless the Hall to launch her new solo EP ?Whatever Cage?, a transcendent and eclectic plea for world transformation and queer liberation.
In support we have another returning artist, Tarantina, bringing her blend of dark polished pop with an avant-garde twist. And new to the Trades, Brighton?s cabaret icon and experimental electronic enchantress Asher Fynn.
On the decks for the night we'll have legendary musician, DJ and community connector Zahra Haji Fath Ali Tehrani, bringing the bangers down from Oxford.
Live music will start at 7:30pm

Rubie Biography
Rubie is a songstress, multi-instrumentalist and profound storyteller. Centering her hyper-expressive vocal, piano playing and distinctive textural production style, she brings classic songwriting forms into contemporary context, leading a rallying call for queer siblinghood in the face of political struggle and uncertainty. A member of queer singing collective F*/Choir, her music and politics are informed by our need for each other as marginalised people, bringing voice to a perspective pushed underground by transphobic rhetoric.
