LENA DELUXE

You could be forgiven for believing that Lena Deluxe was raised next to the Mexican-American border, first heard alongside the Rio Grande, or plugged in her first guitar down under the Brooklyn Bridge. You'd be mistaken. Lena Deluxe comes from northern France and her universe, unlike the red bricks of her Lille Métropole, is inhabited by the same solitude as the pioneers of american rock, composers cursed with a fire in the belly. It is this passion coupled with magical meetings that led her to record her first album in New York, under the direction of Henry Hirsch (Lenny Kravitz, Mick Jagger ...). Released in May 2015, "Mirror for Heroes" has a sixties' sound, light psychedelia over pure and ethereal vocals, haunted by ghosts of Jefferson Airplane, Love and other vibrations from the New World. Ou alors qu’elle a branché sa première guitare down under the Brooklyn bridge, à deux encablures de la verticalité new yorkaise. Rien de tout cela. Lena Deluxe vient du Nord de la France et son univers, loin des briques rouges de la métropole lilloise, est peuplé de solitudes, celles des pionniers du rock US, des compositeurs maudits qui ont la rage au ventre et le spleen au bord des lèvres. C’est cette passion et la magie des rencontres qui l’ont amené à enregistrer son premier album à New York sous la direction d’Henry Hirsch (Lenny Kravitz, Mick Jagger…). « Mirror for heroes » aux sons sixties et psychés enrobant sa voix pure et éthérée, sortira le 18 mai 2015, hanté par les fantômes du Jefferson Airplane, Love et autres vibrations du nouveau monde.
