Night River Presents: Beth Rowley with support from DG Solaris and Maggie Christmas Welcome to the winter instalment of our all ages matinee show at the beautiful church in Norton St Philip, a venue with fantastic acoustics. All are very welcome! Beth Rowley is a fantastic singer songwriter, based in Bristol. Her first album, Little Dreamer, made the UK top 10 and sold over 100,000 albums and she has received a Brit Award nomination for Best Female Solo Artist. Beth acknowledges early influences from Gospel Spirituals, Soul and Blues inherited from her parents, who brought her up on Led Belly and Mahalia Jackson. Beth?s vocals are simply stunning, fragile yet powerful and need to be heard live to be fully appreciated. It is clear to see that the years preparing have grown in her a confidence that only experience and commitment to your art can give. Beth has appeared on stage with some giants of the music world including recent tour support for Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, Burt Bacharach, Adele, Jamie Cullum and David Arnold. DG Solaris is the project of musician Danny Green. He was raised in the wilds of West Yorkshire and began writing songs at 13. Gradually, he developed the confidence to make songwriting the central feature of his life. Between 2008-2018, he released music under the name Laish, delivering four albums of wry, eccentric guitar pop. In 2020, he released his first as DG Solaris, with a more psychedelic sound called, ?Spirit Glow?. As a performer, Danny is a rakish front man, making the audience laugh in one song and reducing them to bittersweet tears the next. In 2022 he launched Night River, a series of intimate live shows in Frome, where he now lives. Maggie Christmas will be making her second appearance at the NSP church.
