The Spindles
A staple of the Sonoma County music scene since their inception in 2001, The Spindles have wooed generations of audiences with their resplendent Second-Wave Americana and Chamber-Rock favorites. Compelled by their revered triple-threat leader Coalmine Spindle, songwriter, singer and guitar-player extraordinaire, The Spindles are comprised of co-founder and efficacious bass player Jaime Voss, the inimitable Henry Nagle on lead guitar, the incomparable drummer Jonathan Hughes, preeminent trombone and bass clarinet players Achilles Poloynis and Mark Philpott, respectively, and the ineffable Ursa Born on backing vocals.

Darwin
California-based musician, Darwin, immerses listeners with his haunting vocals and genre-bending sound. His music an evocative array of electronically driven arrangements contrasted with pure, confessional acoustic tunes. Part future, part nostalgia.
“‘This Rose’ is my dear friend, Darwin’s extremely moving song dedicated to Santa Rosa which was practically wiped out by the fires which came within a mile of his own home. A song from the heart if ever there was one.” ~ David J

“a pure, confessional soul” - David J
DARWIN
SONGWRITER • MUSICIAN • PRODUCER • ENGINEER
www.darwinmeiners.com • @darwinmeiners
San Francisco born artist, Darwin, immerses listeners with his haunting vocals and genre-bending sound. His music an evocative array of electronically driven arrangements and pure, confessional acoustic tunes. Emotion, sentiment, and passion are his hallmarks regardless of his current musical or production style.
Aside from his solo work which includes two full length albums, an EP and several singles, Darwin has also been a member of several bands (Stat-ic, David J and the Gentleman Thieves, The Secret Courtesy) and most recently, Night Crickets which features Victor DeLorenzo (Violent Femmes) and David J (Bauhaus, Love and Rockets). Their debut album ‘A Free Society’ was released on Omnivore records this year which Darwin also mixed.
2019 brings the release of ‘So Few Comets’, a new full-length album. The album was produced by The Singularity and features performances by David J, Marc Slutsky (Peter Murphy), Emily Jane White and more. While unmistakably Darwin, this new album sets its sights on an electronic vein only hinted at in the past. Making this his most accomplished work to date.
Darwin also manages and performs with David J.

2012 - ‘Starfishing' (LP)
2014 - ‘Souvenir' (EP)
2014 - ‘Meaningless’ (single and video)
